Per what I’ve gathered from Sunyani, coach Maxwell Konadu was not just beaten. It was a near lynching. The mob could’ve ended his life.

It took the intervention of a few brave persons to rescue him to the opponent dressing room. He was unconscious and lay flat on the floor of the dressing room.

The mob hit him in every part of his body and in some instances with objects.

The Police in Sunyani are yet to make any arrest which is very shocking because there’s no way they don’t know or can’t identify any of the monstrous mob.

It is a very embarrassing and sickening trend and all along, I thought fans of Bofoakwa may have learned some sense but not. Such a silly road to travel in 2023.

But tell you what, they’ve been emboldened because only the venue will be banned, the airheads who did this will be reading this from the comfort of their rooms.

It high time we demote or completely ban teams for such animalistic behaviors. But what do I know better than the owners of the PREMIER product?

The Renal Center at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital was closed down due to an outstanding debt of Ghc 4million.

Last week a report was aired on Joy FM that 19 people have died as a result of the closure. As a country we seem to prioritize everything but human lives.

People with Kidney diseases are being told literally to start buying coffins to prepare for their deaths while we spend billions of cedis on ‘more important things’.

To think that this same country that paid Ghc 113 million for architectural drawings/designs for the National Cathedral cannot find 4million to keep the Renal center open is nothing short of madness.

Same country where parliamentarians sat to discuss a new $200million chamber? A country where we openly pay delegates millions for their votes? A country that can budget $20million for Black Stars participation at the World Cup? The same country where a change of Government means the buying of over 100 new V8’s?

So people can sleep at night knowing people are dying? Because of 4million cedis oooo not dollars…..

What are our priorities? What do we care about? Do our leaders care about anything at all?

Every passing day the happenings in Ghana contribute to the youth’s loss of hope in it! I now understand and agree with all the young people leaving the shores. If not for anything the person can make money to send home to his relative to go for dialysis at a private facility

We can afford shock absorbers and dig boreholes in our houses but the other things we cannot individually afford is the reason we collectively pay taxes to a body called [government] entrusted with all our powers to use it for such other important purposes.

And the fact that you can afford shocks so you don’t care about bad roads doesn’t mean you’re completely safe.

The trotro driver who couldn’t afford shocks will fall into a gaping pot hole, veer off and crash into your car, then you have to build your own hospital to fix your damaged jaw because there’s no bed in the public hospital.

And so on and so forth.

Sometimes we only have ourselves to blame because we are what’s making us miserable. Stop being negative and stop thinking about all that’s wrong in life. Instead, count the blessings and thank the Almighty. He will reward you with even more.
