@goaskkelly Maybe look in the mirror. Based on your tweet last night it sounds like maybe you aren't the most positive and uplifting person around either.
@connien4744 @goaskkelly @glennkirschner2 @NilooAdili Me too. Ppl like this are just toxic in every way. They make themselves feel better by finding fault with others.
@HighHopesDance@emeryemeryii@ZdrodowskiDan@DanPriceSeattle@MSNBC Most teachers in SC don't make $15 (or just barely that) after 4 years college. I don't believe McDonalds cashier should make more than teachers & yes - teachers should make more - but that's the point. If all wages spike, so will inflation. Complex issue...
@HighHopesDance@emeryemeryii@ZdrodowskiDan@DanPriceSeattle@MSNBC I understand that & agree that min wage becomes less effective over time with inflation. If they wont pin it to match inflation then they should increase it more frequently than every 15 years. But if everyone suddenly starts making more money it will absolutely spike inflation.
@HighHopesDance@emeryemeryii@ZdrodowskiDan@DanPriceSeattle@MSNBC These step changes are bad for everyone. They should not only pin it to inflation but also adjust it for cost of living from state to state. $15 might be too little in big cities, but is a lot for very rural areas where costs are low.
@revianzap @howlingmeta @Greenseatac@ZdrodowskiDan@DanPriceSeattle@MSNBC Thank you. I don't know why we're talking about a national wage. Should be based on cost of living on the area. The higher paying jobs track with cost of living already so why wouldn't the lower end do same?
@emeryemeryii@ZdrodowskiDan@DanPriceSeattle@MSNBC I'm not completely against higher wages but 1)it will eventually lead to inflation and 2)I don't think a federal minimum makes sense. Cost of living from one state to another can be double or more. In that case someone is either overpaid or underpaid.
@emeryemeryii@ZdrodowskiDan@DanPriceSeattle@MSNBC This is a true statement, but only for a limited time. He acted first and therefore did get his pick of the best employees. Now say everyone raised wages. Soon all the best ppl are hired and companies stuck hiring bottom end folks for more $.
@Roxy94440178@LindseyGrahamSC Lol yes perhaps - send some our way. We absolutely have a problem here in SC with ppl not returning to work. I can't speak for California. I can imagine you might be right about $20/hr out there.
@isnickwright@johnpavlovitz Yeah kinda like Trump finding that one time when someone tried to vote twice and then saying millions of ppl did the same thing. And oh by the way, the person who tired to vote twice voted republican.
@MooseRobertson @John_J_Dawson@ElrycC@johnpavlovitz Lol. "Do your own research" is definitely the moron quote of the century. I almost miss the days of after the 2020 election and reading the endless, mindless rantings of about election consoir. Good times....
@Rheana85 @jessvd@johnpavlovitz Darwinism candidate. But yes... ppl are concerned about a vaccine that has been thoroughly tested and then..... this.....
Makes me embarrassed to be a human being.
@JIMPETE93512598@Yahoo In Charleston, SC there are tons of jobs paying in the $20/hr range but folks can make 15$/hr sitting on the couch so why work? We don't have to argue. The governor just ended the unemployment subsidy - so if hiring improves in next 6 weeks we'll have the answer won't we?
