Everything is bigger (and better) in Texas, but this East Coast thing can be kind of nice....95 degrees is "excessive heat" and "I'm bored on Sunday afternoon" turns into "'cheapest available ticket' being front row at Darlington" in about 2 hours.
@MAXgBU21@dfank_BU @OurDailyPodcast I mean, there's a lot to be said for the fact that the two schools managed to get their fanbases to agree on something...
Not the outcome I hoped for at all, but 129 other FBS schools didn't have a game on the calendar 1/9/23...so if you'd told me as a freshman in 2003 that 19 years later TCU would even get the chance to be in a title game, I may have laughed, but I would've taken it. #RiffRam
TCU, Baylor, and SMU may be rivals on the field, but with degrees from the two of those that don't sit "high on the hilltop," I'll forever say I'm glad to have been able to know and learn from a @SMUFB legend over the years. Rest easy Cash.
SMU mourns the loss of longtime athletics trainer and SMU Athletics Hall of Fame member Cash Birdwell. Birdwell served Mustang student-athletes for over 30 years. We send our condolences to Cash’s family and friends.
I'm sure I don't have to remind readers of this Twitter feed that it was exactly 175 years ago today, on Dec. 29th, 1845, that Texas allowed the United States to join it.
I haven't been to a sports event just for fun in years. 25% @GlobeLifeField wasn't exactly the sold out @LasVegas_NFR I've always wanted to go to, but having the Finals in Texas was definitely cool...
I also learned that roughstock events are lot less stressful from 2 decks up.
Every September my 13y/o DLP TV dies and I think "hey, it's finally time to upgrade!" Then I remember there's a spare bulb in the closet...and it works...and I order another for the next time.
Another few years and my TV will be older than my athletes 😂
