Earlier this week, we welcomed Alumni student Gian Rado back into MCA. Gian highlighted to Year 11’s in assembly the opportunities of taking up an apprenticeship and about his with the BBC currently.

As part of NCW, our KS3 students participated in some STEM workshops this afternoon. In these workshops, they leant about career paths within construction, how to build skyscrapers out of paper, tested the durability of spaghetti models and much more. 🧱🏗️

What a fantastic day in the kitchen! 👩🏽‍🍳👨🏻‍🍳 Our houses went head-to-head in an epic Pancake Day showdown, serving up some seriously impressive creations.

Earlier this week, some of our students took part in the Digital Schoolhouse Splatoon 3 ESports tournament.

The students went up against 5 other schools from across Greater Manchester including last years champions Altrincham Grammar.

Today, Year 11 students took part in revision sessions with MADE, learning how marginal gains lead to big results.

We hope everyone learnt something that they will use in preparation for GCSEs.

A group of year 11 students have been working with Peace Jam UK over the past few months to design their own social action project. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑✊

Students will be delivering this project at a conference in March being held at MCA. Watch this space for details about how to register📢🌍

On Friday, some of our Year 9 & 10 students participated in a cooking masterclass with the Food Teachers Centre. This was part of a programme called Fish Heroes where students get a chance to prepare, cook and eat fish before they leave school.🍣
