Rufai, if I didn’t know you very well I would say you don’t know what corruption really is. A President using his platform to advocate for America’s star player after a highly questionable red card isn't corrupt, it's called leadership.

If Emmanuel Macron or any European head of state intervened to protect their team's World Cup chances, the media would praise their "unyielding national pride and passion for the sport." But because it's Trump ensuring the USMNT isn't unjustly handicapped against Belgium, everyone loses their minds.

Bottom line is FIFA reviewed the footage and agreed to suspend the ban, which proves the original refereeing decision was garbage. Standing up for your country's interests on the global stage is exactly what a leader is supposed to do. 🇺🇸⚽
