Narendra Modi today received an honorary title in Seychelles for his environmental and sustainability leadership.

Meanwhile, about 160 KMs from his residence, people in Haryana's Chanot village are forced to drink filthy water.

Look at the kind of water that's being supplied to them since a decade.

These villagers have a simple demand. The state govt is building Bhakra canal pipeline that goes through their village.

They just want a share of water from this pipeline. If the govt can't promise that, I have a few questions:

Can Modi drink this filthy water?
Can CM Nayab Saini drink this water?
Can Chanot's MLA Vinod Bhayana drink this water?

If not, how can they expect this from the people!

I request Modi to fix this issue. I promise to sponsor an honorary title from my own pocket.

Today, Narendra Modi received the 'Guardian of the Blue Horizon' title in Seychelles. A few things about this title:

1. Modi is the first and only person to receive this title.

2. It is not part of the regular national awards/medals system (those have existed since 2022 for citizens).

3. Seychelles' Cabinet formally approved the creation of this special Presidential distinction just four days before Modi's visit.

4. Official descriptions call it a "symbolic Presidential recognition" and "special presidential" distinction.
