- X is a right angled triangle, with diagonal 5m and one side 4m. That means the unknown side is 3m (Pythagoras)
- Area of X is just half 3x4 = 6m^2

Imagine a right angled triangle with diagonal between the two circle centres.

Diagonal = 8 + 5 = 13 (tangent rule)

Vertical = 18-5-8=5

Horizontal = x - 8 - 5 = x-13

13^2 = 5^2 + (x-13)^2 (Pythagoras)

(x-13)^2 = 169 - 25 = 144 = 12^2
x-13 = 12, so x = 25
