Alberta’s public health-care system is being steadily eroded by the UCP government as they barrel forward with their plans to introduce a two-tier, American-style, for-profit system here in our province. It’s not just wrong, it’s incompetent, because it will do nothing to improve services for Albertans.
Today, I sent a letter to Prime Minister Carney, calling on the Government of Canada to intervene under the Canada Health Act and protect public health care in Alberta.
Albertans deserve a health-care system that works for everyone, not a two-tier system that protects profits over patients.
Alberta’s New Democrats are calling on the federal government to step in and protect public health care in Alberta

Canada Strong 🇨🇦
A big week for Canada.
Landmark government bills just became law — to build more affordable homes, protect vulnerable communities, safeguard our democracy, strengthen bail and sentencing, and bring justice to those impacted by intimate partner and sexual violence.
We’re building a country that is stronger, fairer, and more just — for all.

“You have a free and democratic country where you can drive around the country with a bumper sticker that (curses) the prime minister, or where you can have a float and say I want to separate from Canada, and you don't get arrested,” added Lukaszuk.

While Smith is delaying the "Water Not Coal" petition for at least a year and up to 4...
Today, Nenshi called for Smith to use her powers as premier to put the question on the ballot as written.

“Dangerous and irresponsible?” Really, Rob? Those words describe what you and Smith have been doing to empower fringe separatists more than anything the Chief’s said in their statement. They’re just saying out loud what many Albertans and Canadians have been saying privately.
🇨🇦 Her actions, not her words speak volumes. Canadians need to accept that Premier Danielle Smith's UCP Alberta gov't is working to undermine every Canadian institution, restrict rights and blow holes in our social safety net for only one reason...
