We lost my father-in-law this week. So we did all the things. The ICU, hospital, ambulance, cremation, Haridwar, wake, prayer meet and more. We gather, an Indian gathering is a beautiful and chaotic thing. We gather around a body, we gather around an ambulance everyone screaming instructions, we gather around a fire in silence, then we gather in some sort of line like whispering air hostesses doing namaste as people gather around us. Empty houses become full, flying in, popping by, dropping off, picking up. Non stop traffic of people coming through and trying to find things to do for you so that they can feel useful. Hellos are quick, conversations are long, goodbyes take forever. Everyone is simultaneously late and early. There are reunions, fights settled, new fights started, everyone is dramatic, everyone is starving, everyone is getting up to give a seat to someone. More laughter than tears. You drink, eat, socialise, gossip, carb up and sugar up, more than you have in a decade…because someone is no longer with you. Then everyone goes home three kilos heavier. Maybe that’s where the people who pass go. That’s what the afterlife is. Them living on in multiple peoples bodies, three kilos a piece.
Happiness is our responsibility. We need to understand ourselves, build healthy habits, and work through our traumas to feel happy and fulfilled.
That’s no one else’s role.
@JM_Scindia Sir, my late father, a dedicated SDO at BSNL, served with integrity for decades. Yet, his pending reimbursement remains unresolved due to negligence at the BSNL Circle Office, Kolkata. This isn't just bureaucracy—it's disrespect to a lifetime of service.
Wow, @qatarairways, your 'thorough investigation' and 'final response' really shows how much you value customer satisfaction! So refreshing to know that ignoring complaints is your official policy. Guess I’ll take my 'kind understanding' and fly elsewhere next time. ✈️
Dear @qatarairways, I'm writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with my recent flight experience (Booking Reference: LY7HY7) and to formally lodge a complaint. As a loyal customer, this incident has caused significant distress to me and my family. #QatarAirways#Travel
I demand reimbursement for expenses, compensation for stress, compensation for my mother’s medical treatment. I expect @qatarairways to address this complaint promptly and satisfactorily. #Compensation#CustomerRights
This distressing experience could have been avoided with proper communication and empathy from your staff. My mother and I have suffered significant emotional and psychological distress. #CustomerCare#TravelWoes
Despite assurances of free accommodation at the Transit Hotel, I was denied help upon arrival in Doha. I had to book a room myself in a state of physical and mental exhaustion. #CustomerExperience#AirlineFail
My rebooked flight from Munich to Doha (QR58) was delayed significantly. I experienced severe anxiety, headaches, and vomiting, requiring medical care. The lack of empathy and support was appalling. #HealthMatters#TravelStress
I was traveling to visit my recently widowed and ailing mother, already under significant distress. The delay added immense strain on both of us. #MentalHealthMatters#TravelStruggles
Despite constant communication with my husband, I received no calls or messages from @qatarairways about the gate closure. This led to a 20-hour layover in Doha, causing immense stress. #TravelIssues#CustomerCare
My itinerary: Riga to Munich, Munich to Doha (QR60), Doha to Kolkata (QR540). Upon arrival in Munich, I faced multiple terminal changes, huge queues, and missed my flight despite no communication from your side. #TravelNightmare#CustomerService
