Asked someone from the industry whether foreign investors are still interested in allocating to India. The TLDR:

Interest has pretty much died out. India is seen as geopolitically exposed, especially to an oil shock. There are no real AI plays. Valuations are rich. And the rupee situation doesn't help.

On top of that, investors who were sitting on gains have taken money off the table and are now looking at markets like Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Europe etc instead.

He also pointed out that our LTCG/STCG structure and the increase in STT have made India less attractive compared to other markets that are seeing inflows.

If we need to attract FPIs back, and we do, fixing this feels like pretty low-hanging fruit.

Quitting my job soon to focus on trading full-time is starting to feel more appealing. It’s hard to imagine putting in 8–10 hours every day, only to be let go unexpectedly on a random Wednesday through an email.

@SriniVega How will exits be handled during sharp spikes if limit orders are skipped? Also, if the overall stop-loss is breached, limit orders may not execute.

In such scenarios, I used to rely on market orders to ensure execution and avoid being stuck in the position.

I regularly use Algotest for daily trade analysis and trade execution. However, the daily trade analysis has not been working properly for the past week. I’ve reported this to support, but the issue is still unresolved. Could you please look into this? @AlgoTest_in @rogue_hft

i have no desire to be rich so i can buy a rolex or a lamborghini.

i want to be rich so i can control my time and go to the gym at 3pm on a monday.

sit at a cafe and relax for an hour on a rainy afternoon.

so i can cook meals at home with fresh ingredients.

spend on my family and friends without worrying about a budget.

that's my idea of a rich life, not the fake consumerist idea shoved down my throat.
