Prayers for PM Narendra Modi on his 70th Birthday by Brahmavihari Swami on behalf of HH Mahant Swami Maharaj, BAPS. May he lead India for global good. Behind his amazing achievements there is a silent spirituality. @narendramodi@PMOIndia https://t.co/1ht1KEtX73
Students and parents govt is there to support see our country is the best as far as management of COVID is concerned.
Tests are not happening so covid cases will be easily manipulated
UGC has just now filed its Affidavit in our SC Petition.
MHA has not yet filed its Response.
During last hearing, I had pointed out that UGC Guidelines of 6 July & MHA Unlock-3 Guidelines are contrary to each other.
But both UGC & MHA have not responded to this point till now!
As Final Year Students have taken 7 semester exams and internals for 8th sem, it makes no sense to hold their degrees only for one exam.
To help them with their jobs and further studies, I am immediately awarding degrees on past performance

#NoMoreWaitUGC
-UGC & MHA have NOT yet filed their said Affidavits in our SC case
-Uncertainty & delay in final decision in our UGC Case are causing a lot of stress & anxiety to students
-Also Students are losing out precious Job/Admission opportunities
-Matter must be decided expeditiously!
#Update
-Supreme Court Registry has confirmed today that our Petition seeking postponement of #NEET#JEE will be heard on 14.08.2020
-62,064 COVID Cases in 24 Hours
-Many Central Ministers/CMs suffering from COVID
#NEET#JEE must be postponed ASAP for safety of young students
-Home Ministry (MHA) Unlock-3 Guideline has directed all educational institutions to remain closed till 31 August
-Thus, UGC Decision to conduct final Exams, is also contrary to MHA Guideline
-So, today I requested SC to direct MHA to file Affidavit & clear its stand on it ASAP
-I really wanted our #UGC Petition to get decided Today
-I started my legal submissions on behalf of students
-I was explaining the illegality of UGC decision to conduct exams
-But SG sought time to File Reply
-Thus Hon’ble SC adjourned UGC case to 14 August for final hearing

-Today Delhi High Court has allowed Delhi University to conduct Open Book Exam for DU final year students, as per schedule
-In our UGC Petition, we are opposing all final year exams, due to COVID crisis
-We are studying today’s DHC Order & making necessary notes for our SC case
-Petitioners in this fresh Petition are claiming that decision to cancel final exam is violative of their right to obtain proper education & respectable degree
-Our prayer is exactly opposite
-We are more concerned about fundamental right to LIFE & EQUALITY of lakhs of students
“The best recourse at this stage can be to wait for some more time, let COVID-19 crisis subside & then only conduct these exams in order to save lives of the students and their parents”
