It’s 2026, please. 😭 There is still a section of people who think having sex on a reality TV show is a crime, kissing is a crime, or simply living your reality in a way they wouldn’t live theirs is somehow offensive.
Would you do it? No. Does it go against your personal beliefs? Maybe. Do you think it’s inappropriate? Fine. But why does your personal standard of life suddenly become the standard every other grown adult must live by?
These are grown adults. They are allowed to make choices you wouldn’t make. They are allowed to live differently from you. You don’t have to agree with everything they do, but why do you think you have the moral high ground to dictate how they should behave on Big Brother?
They also don’t have to play the game according to what YOU want. That’s literally why there are more than 20 housemates every year. 😂 Pick the person whose personality, values or lifestyle resonate with you and leave the rest of them alone.
What I find particularly strange is the expectation of perfection from these housemates. They are human beings trying to navigate life, just like the rest of us. They will make good decisions, bad decisions, questionable decisions and decisions you personally wouldn’t make. That doesn’t suddenly make them terrible people.
If something a housemate does is not digestible for you, you can dislike them. You can criticise their behaviour. You can discuss it. Commentary is part of the fun of reality TV. But when your reaction becomes hate, bullying, insults and dragging their families into it every single year, that is where I start wondering what exactly is going on.
Because some of you seem to make trolling Big Brother housemates a yearly activity. Every season, same thing. New housemates, same behaviour. Find someone to hate, dissect everything they do, insult them, drag their families and spend weeks campaigning against people you don’t even know.
At some point, where is the growth? Where is the evolution?
You can watch a reality TV show, have strong opinions, disagree with people and still remember that these are actual human beings. You don’t have to like them. You don’t have to support their choices. You certainly don’t have to live the way they live.
But this expectation that everybody must conform to your personal morality, your lifestyle and your idea of what a “good” person should be is just bizarre to me.
And the level of vitriol some of these housemates receive for simply being themselves? Sometimes I wonder what exactly you people are watching because the punishment does not match the crime.
“She was so marriage centered” shut up abeg! Whenever you people learn new buzzwords on this app, we won’t rest again. Fake deep modafokas. People are allowed to like things and make it a priority in their life and that’s very okay. Shaming her makes you a fool.
Again, SHEBA is whoever she says she is! Y’all need to give this woman her flowers! She has shown us time and time again that she is talented, versatile, and capable of so much more. Queen SHEBA, take your flowers! 👑💐
