It feels surreal that a year has passed without Zubeen. There are moments I almost expect him to walk in, in that inimitable style of his. Then the loss sinks in once more. Perhaps this is what grief is , a void we learn to live with, but never truly accept.
Is all this money being saved for the next pandemic? What will that one be? There are already warnings that the next pandemic (AI bringing the world to a halt? Or floods caused by illegal mining and deforestation? Water crisis because of Data centres?) could be even more devastating than COVID. Most importantly, who will be the beneficiaries 🤔

Midnight Thoughts:
Nagaon Commissioner Debashish Sharma has set his sights on politics.
As Commissioner, Debashish Sharma has earned considerable popularity. He is known for connecting with people, often visiting them and singing with a guitar in hand. At times he performs Jayanta Hazarika’s songs, at times Zubeen Garg’s, and sometimes Bhupen Hazarika’s iconic Manuhe Manuhor Babe. Now, the same Debashish Sharma appears ready to enter politics.
Within the next 24 hours, Sharma is expected to submit his resignation as Commissioner, effectively bringing his bureaucratic career to an end. If everything goes as planned, he is likely to resign on Wednesday.
The obvious question is: What is his political goal?
According to sources, Sharma is interested in contesting the Nagaon Lok Sabha by-election, which is expected to be held in September. The seat fell vacant after Pradyut Bordoloi joined the BJP.
The BJP has been searching for a strong candidate for Nagaon. Winning this constituency has never been easy for the party, as Muslim voters outnumber Hindu voters, making it a challenging seat. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has reportedly been exploring various options and consulting MLAs from the constituencies under the Nagaon Lok Sabha seat.
During these discussions, Nagaon MLA Rupak Sharma is said to have proposed the name of Debashish Sharma. According to him, Sharma’s popularity makes him a strong candidate.
Before serving in Nagaon, Debashish Sharma was the Deputy Commissioner of Morigaon, where he reportedly built good relations with minority communities. Many Muslims in Nagaon also view him positively. Some BJP leaders therefore believe that fielding a respected administrator rather than a conventional politician could work in the party’s favour.
Debashish Sharma has long been interested in entering public life. Earlier, he served as the Resident Commissioner of Assam House in Mumbai, where he assisted many cancer patients and played an important role in helping people return to Assam during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, he is believed to have developed a close working relationship with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma.
Sources say Sharma hopes the BJP, under Himanta Biswa Sharma’s leadership, will nominate him from Nagaon.
However, there are differing opinions within the BJP. Some leaders question whether someone without a political background would be the right choice to contest such a difficult constituency.
At the same time, reports suggest that a section of Muslim voters in Nagaon believes electing a Congress MP this time would not change either the Prime Minister in Delhi or the Chief Minister in Assam. As a result, some are reportedly considering voting for the BJP.
For this reason, some BJP leaders feel that an apolitical and widely respected candidate may be more suitable than a traditional politician. Along with Rupak Sharma, several MLAs have reportedly recommended Debashish Sharma’s name.
However, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma has not yet accepted or approved the proposal.
Another factor is that Debashish Sharma is nearing retirement, with only about six to seven months of service left. He appears willing to take the risk of leaving the civil service. Resigning as an IAS officer is not a simple process and involves several formal procedures. Once those are completed, he will be free to join politics, and may then formally join the BJP before seeking a party ticket.
That said, the BJP high command has not given any green signal so far. Even if Debashish Sharma retires from service, there is no certainty that he will receive a BJP ticket. Much will depend on whom the Congress fields, whether the AIUDF contests the seat, and the overall political situation.
For now, the BJP’s decision remains open. The answer will become clear in the coming days.
With such high premiums only big players will make money.
They will decide closing based on their sell and buy positions.
We retailers will see only.
Good work by SEBI.

All rules are made to benefit only big players.
One example : 25% margin increased on expiry day even for selling.
Who told them that sellers are loser so increase margin on expiry day?
We can not use our own 25% capital to sell far OTM option on expiry day.
