@JFreshHockey 1st spin I got Zach Werenski and Nick Suzuki... Man, Anaheim was dumb...
2nd spin, best players were Eeli Tolvanen and Colin White... one guy didn't even have a picture. Ok, nevermind lol
@jmarshfof That is registration... Hockey is probably net more expensive with equipment, actual travel (hotels, etc), and ref fees are on top of hockey registration, but it's A LOT closer than it should be.
@jmarshfof It costs more for my one kid to play U14 "travel" soccer for a mid-level local club, than it does to for my youngest to play 12U-AA hockey at a local Tier II association.
@AGretz Negotiations couldn't have been going great for him to sign the offer sheet.
You'd think if he was comfortable that they'd take care of him, he would pass on it.
@HunterHodies Life changing money for him. Happy for guys like that who work for years and years and get to cash in.
Not a bad deal for Edm either. $4 mil for a solid #4/#5 d-man isn't bad.
@jtbourne It will probably be around the buried cap limit soon... Instead of playing the LTIR game, is that an option? Just send him to AHL, not report, and team just keeps paying him?
@DanHoppOPS He could (maybe should?) end up being a top 4 dman for 3 or 4 years at $3.25 mil. That's amazing if it works out that way.
Worst case, he's an appropriately paid 3rd paring dman.
@j_a155 And a skilled player who's played against grown men for a few years.
Maybe will end up not being an NHL player, but you'd at least think he'll be a solid AHL offensive d-man.
@MattGajtka They've ceded all organizational power to McDavid over the years (hiring Jeff Jackson, Knoblauch, now Babcock approval), and they think he will be held accountable now?
It's like Dad's empty threat to "turn the car around" on way to the beach, after hotel is already paid for.
@walsha I get that you are working on behalf of players, and looking out for their best interests in sports...
But hyperbole like "eat dust for dinner" doesn't really help your side in the public image in the millionaire vs billionaire fight for most people.
