Just banned on @LinkedIn for the day. AI flagged me as a bot for processing connection requests too quickly.
When governments mandate identity verification, an AI mistake means a lifetime ban. You can't just make a new account when your actual ID is blocked forever.
It's not really surprising that Pegasus software which back in 2021 was exposed as being used for mass spying on politicians, journalists, human right activists etc. is still being used for such purposes, given that sanctions for using it are non-existent. https://t.co/24wTKubksA
Another case of debanking. This time it's a left-wing media organisation and demonstrates that the threat from this type of action can affect people and organisations of any persuasion. https://t.co/vi0LkDgVkV
A reminder of why CBDCs will be a disaster for us all. It is bad enough being debanked, but imagine not being able to use money at all! https://t.co/T5mjVUcy5R
It also explains why, as in this case technical and other faults never seem to get fixed with such systems - there is too much profit to be made from errors and faults!
At £1 per crossing this equates to a loss of £138,000, but if each one generates a fine of £100, that represents and income of 13.8 million pounds. With such numbers it is easy to see why ANPR systems have become so prevalent and replaced barrier systems. https://t.co/30emBNy4Js
One way of addressing the issues with ANPR is to require the operators to pay compensation for successful appeals. This will make them put real effort into ensuring the accuracy of their systems and processes. At the moment there is no consequence for failure.
An excellent video report from @WhichUK on ANPR and the issues with it. As pointed out in the video ANPR's 97% accuracy rate equates to 2 million misreads a day. https://t.co/t0d5Z08hCQ via @YouTube
Currently judges have to provide reasons for their judgements and if they are considered incorrect in law etc. it can be appealed, so there is precedent for the same rules to apply to juries.
The Aria Thorpe verdict is causing a lot of comment and it certainly does look perverse. One way of resolving these concerns is to require juries to explain their reasoning for a verdict. This would allow review and appeal if the basis for the decision was irrational.
Are they rigging these trials to do away with juries??? ..
He’s free to be back on the street after being found not guilty of murder OR manslaughter.
Stabbed to death by her own 15 year old Brother, who admitted walking over to her and stabbing her, whilst they were both home alone, to ‘scare’her. He ran off to escape afterwards, instead of calling an Ambulance and said he “didn’t know why” he plunged the knife straight through her heart.
He had been expelled from school THE SAME DAY for disruptive behaviour and as a punishment, his Mum had taken his phone off him (so he was in a rage and out for revenge).
A teenage boy has been found not guilty of killing a nine-year-old girl in her home.
The 16-year-old, who cannot be named due to his age, was on trial accused of murder and manslaughter following the death of Aria Thorpe. A jury returned verdicts of not guilty for both charges at Bristol Crown Court earlier.
A pathologist previously told the court Aria died of a single stab wound to her chest at her home in Weston-super-Mare on 15 December 2025.
You'll note the Minister doesn't explain HOW #digitalID will do what he claims.
The promised consultation #roadshow never materialised, the #PeoplesPanel was held in secret - now we get 30 seconds of unsubstantiated assertions in front of Postman Pat.
Bring on the reshuffle...
An interesting point is made in this article about age verification. It may not just confirm your age it could give Big Tech access to ID data it didn't previously have, enabling even more hyper-targeted online content and advertising. https://t.co/mm1HVSxJdI
“Age bans for under-16s mean #digitalID and tracking of everyone"
New post from #NO2ID on the Government's announcement of a draconian U-16 social media #ban and #curfews for 16s-18s, with #restrictions and #monitoring of EVERYONE'S devices:

Legacy media’s real enemy has always been social media.
That’s why they suddenly pretend they can't see privacy violations, mass surveillance, and free speech crackdowns the second governments censor platforms or turn them into population monitors.
They don’t care about your rights.
They just want their gatekeeper power and monopoly on truth back.
It's not just the way social media sites are being selectively restricted and others not, that is problematic. Starmer is also planning restrictions on 16 and 17 year olds. This is the group that he wants to give the vote to, but not social media!
Why is Sir Keir Starmer’s Government set to ban under-16s from accessing 10 major social media platforms — including X — but not left-wing platforms like Bluesky?
Since coming to power, this Government has been openly hostile to X, a forum for debate that prides itself on free speech. Ministers have even floated the idea of blocking UK citizens’ access to the platform altogether.
Starmer can no longer pretend this is solely about protecting children.
The social media ban for under 16's won't protect children, but will provide a failed and likely to soon be ex Prime Minister with some sort of legacy, although not one to be proud of. https://t.co/NjO9ceAzes
Here comes Streeting thinking he’s one of the good guys 🙄
He wants platforms to be held financially liable for ‘riot’ content, and pay towards of ‘disorder’
Meaning platforms will obviously censor any protest or gathering they think they may be blamed for publicising.
What does riot mean? it will mean any protest or gathering the government doesn’t agree with.
Interesting Radio 4 programme about Trial Shift Scams which Manchester NO2ID believes deserves wider attention for reasons explained in the blog post.

The government said the Online Safety Act was about protecting children. We were called conspiracy theorists for saying it wasn’t!
Well er … Ofcom is writing to platforms about “crisis situations”, civil unrest and enhanced moderation measures. (Blocking posts they don’t like)
Children aren’t mentioned once. NOT ONCE.
The problem isn’t removing genuine incitement to violence. The real problem is that unelected regulators will pressure platforms to decide what millions of ADULTS can and cannot see whenever a “crisis” is declared.
many platforms will remove perfectly lawful content rather than risk the punishment of Ofcom.
