We were pleased to welcome Stephen Flynn MSP to our M&S Aberdeen Union Square store today.

Regional Manager Scott Munro and Store Manager Kyle Johannesson shared how we’re supporting customers and the local community, from offering trusted M&S quality and sourcing standards at great value through our popular Remarksable Value range, to our charitable partnerships with Neighbourly and Too Good To Go.

They also highlighted our commitment to Scottish sourcing, working with more than 4,000 suppliers across Scotland, including many based in Aberdeenshire.

We were pleased to welcome Paul Sweeney MSP to M&S Argyle Street today.

Store Manager Grant shared an overview of the role the store plays in supporting colleagues, customers and the local community.

Paul also met James, who joined M&S through our Marks & Start programme, and Steven, who is marking an amazing 48 years with M&S this year.

Last night in Parliament, Austin and Minnie shared how Marks & Start helped them take their first step into work, speaking to MPs and Alan Milburn, running the Government's "Young People and Work" Review.

Austin joined M&S in 2024 and is already a Team Manager in Kidswear. Minnie joined last year, secured a permanent role at our Leytonstone store and recently completed our Retail Leaders programme.

Since 2004, Marks & Start, delivered with The King’s Trust, has helped more than 14,000 young people into employment and we have plans to go further to support more young people take that first step.

Great to welcome Jim Fairlie MSP to our M&S Perth store last week.

Our Head of Agriculture, Peter Kennedy and Regional Manager Scott Munro shared how supporting local suppliers is a cornerstone of M&S Food through our partnerships with over 4,000 Scottish farms, sea farms and fishing vessels.

Jim also met Store Manager, Jade MacLaren and colleagues Fiona & Sharon who between them have a combined long-service record of 102 years!

Great to welcome Sally Jameson MP to M&S Wheatley, where we’ve invested £7m to triple the size of the store.

Sally met Shift Lead Elliott Marsh, who’s taking part in our Stepping into Team Manager programme, helping colleagues build the skills and confidence to progress their careers at M&S.

It was great to welcome Blair McDougall MP to M&S Newton Mearns today.

As the store marks two years since its £3.2 million transformation, Store Manager Martin Smith outlined how the investment has helped us better serve local customers.

Blair also had the opportunity to meet colleagues, including our bakery team and Michelle Smith, who is celebrating an amazing 40 years with M&S.

It was great to welcome Sean Woodcock MP to M&S Banbury Gateway.

Having started his own career as a Customer Assistant at M&S during the Christmas period, Sean reflected on the opportunities retail can provide as a first step into the world of work. 👋

Joined by Deputy Store Manager Sian Dietz, the visit was a chance to discuss the important role stores play in the local community.

It was great to welcome @YasminQureshiMP to M&S Walkden.

Store Manager Ashley Sowter and Jodie from our BIG team discussed our Not Just Any Career programme, which will create 1,000 training places for young people across the UK and Ireland.

Yasmin was impressed by the energy and passion of our colleagues and the strong culture in store, highlighting why programmes like Not Just Any Career can help young people build skills, confidence and rewarding careers with M&S.
