So anyway, my required gen ed did this to me for my required lab class with three men. Mind you, I was a D1 athlete on a sports scholarship at a private university, so it took a lot of work for me to coordinate between heavy practice and open lab slots.

I group texted for every assignment my availability, and booked the lab myself, they never helped with the coordination. They all showed up for the first two labs, but I showing up alone by the middle of the semester. I just did the work, wrote the report by myself (which sucked, the reports were obviously supposed to be four-person jobs), and only put my name on it. The first time I brought it to the TA's attention, he (of course it was a he) told me that he was not our babysitter, we were adults, and it was up to us to divide up the work. That was great for him, he wasn't presumptively tasked with repeatedly texting three men that kept blowing me off and did not want to hear from me.

So it's near the end of the semester, all of a sudden they're back in the group chat, blowing up my phone with how they all have Fs. Those stupid motherfuckers really thought I was going to just write their name on work they had no part of, including the final lab and presentation, which I did myself, in front of the class.

The TA is on my ass now, saying that one of my lab "partners" told him that I blocked them from the group chat. I did not, I texted them every single assignment, and none of them responded by the end. This led to an academic inquest that got the actual professor involved.

Sorry, but this story does not have a happy ending. The only reason the whole thing went away, I got my A+, and those three guys got their Fs is that my male coach was notified of the investigation (regular procedure when you're an athlete), had me explain, and then got so pissed off he yelled at the department head about it.

So yeah, that's how I got out of babysitting slacker men: by doing the work of four people and getting away with it only after a man vouched for me. Thank you sexism!

She tries to make it seem like he’s a predator bc they became friends when she was 17 even though nothing happened till she was 18+,

She tries to dodge accountability (and any agency, honestly) by claiming she has ADHD and OCD and an eating disorder and blah blah so therefore she’s unable to properly engage with human beings which means Sykkuno took advantage of her

Oh and he sent her money so therefore she must’ve been coerced into all her decisions.

Just a bunch of meaningless bullshit. Woulda been easier if she’d just tweeted, “Sykkuno cheated on his gf with me too” and left it at that.

PAUSE. This data and graph are SUPER misleading. I'm actually shocked they presented this. I saw two massive issues:

US BORN VS INTERNATIONAL:
- NFL is 96% US born
- MLB/ NBA / WNBA are 70-75% US born
- NHL is ONLY 28% US born
- 40% of US players are Canadian
- Canada is politically more left than the US. I vaguely remember one study showed Canadian conservatives closer to US Dems than US Reps on abortion and gun control, and I'm sure there are plenty of similar studies.
- 30% of NHL players from Europe. After Russia (7.7%), I would assume players are more likely skewing left from Sweden (9.9%), Finland (5.4%) relative to US Reps.

SAMPLE OF US PLAYERS
- This part kills me. Digging into their data set, they only have 107 US players sampled out of 345 eligible voting players... or 31%.
- Why are they missing so many? Oh... They don't have voting data for MINNESOTTA (17% of US born players) AND MICHIGAN (13% of US born players)
- These are the 1st and 3rd most represented states in the NHL (?!?!?!!?)

I think we should be critical of sports leagues use of "rainbow capitalism" and being supportive of LGTBQ+ causes and culture when it's convenient -- the NHL embracing Heated Rivalry despite conflicts with team's pride nights -- but this was such a piss-poor misrepresentation of data that I had to call it out.

In summary, you're comparing less than 1/3 of the US players in a pro sports league where the US born players make up less than 1/3 of the total players in that league to other pro leagues that are predominately US born...

Oh and the other players are from Canada and Scandinavia -- where "conservative" would likely mean voting Dem in the US.
