It’s inhumane & unjust, morally wrong & a waste of taxpayers money.

The Government could help fix the prison crisis by fixing the IPP altogether or at the very least, release those who’ve committed no further crime, which would empty one of the largest prisons entirely.

This lack of action is a deliberate choice by the current Government ministers.  This action by them shows that once again people on an IPP are being further segregated and isolated and extremely shortsighted and potentially very harmful

@JamesTCobbler You are spot on about having to do thing's differently. The whole prison service needs looking at too. You could also start by looking at those on an IPP that are 20 years plus over their tariff.

@1roddyRussell Ipp prisoners are still serving an abolished sentence ipp has been abolished for 13 years yet still they are inside prison forgotten by everyone except those that love and care for them they have no date to go home the government is ignoring ipp prisoners when will this ipp end

At least 90 people have taken their own life whilst in prison serving an IPP sentence. Last year saw the highest number in one year.
