Today's Garden Club meeting was spud-tastic! We read an awesome book about growing potatoes and did a fun experiment with potato chips. Our garden is loving the rain and the kiddos were excited to see how much the veggies have grown. #playinthedirt#learningisfun
Just like a rest area on a long road trip, it's important for teachers to take breaks & recharge. Shoutout to businesses offering deals & discounts to teachers.

For the 100th anniversary of the Texas State Parks system, we’ve rounded up our picks for the best ways to get your adrenaline pumping.
For each activity, we’ve suggested a park close to a city center and a remote option for those looking to get away. https://t.co/BKg23ati4L
Garden Club days are the best days. 🌿Today we aerated the compost pile, checked up on all of our plants, and smelled the yummy leaves of some of the herbs we're growing. There are so many opportunities for learning while playing in the dirt. #learningisfun
1/3 It's time to sign up for Teachers in the State Parks! Woo hoo! If interested, you will attend the 5-day summer PD (a $500 teacher stipend if you make all 5 days) and commit to a school field trip for students to a state park in our Region (funded by this grant up to $500).
We had another great day with the 2nd grade Garden Club.
A big thanks to Jerod Meurer for the hands on water quality testing of our pond & Ruth Wedemeyer for guiding our students in the garden. #learningisfun#learn&grow
Our 2nd graders worked hard to weed and plant in the garden today. Garden Club students are doing a great job & having lots of fun. Hands on learning for the win🌿

We had a great first day of our 2nd grade Garden Club. Grateful for Madeline Makovy from our McLennan County Agrilife Extension office for leading our students in learning about the components needed to grow plants. 🌱
