Life is short. Too short, honestly. Everything you engage in should serve a purpose. Don’t let the distraction around you make you lose focus. Remember, time lost is never regained.
Do yourself a favour. Surround yourself with those who speak of visions, ideas, goals, growth. Not those who sit and gossip about others. And if you do find yourself in that situation, excuse yourself and walk away. The game ends when you choose to leave such a gathering.
Spot the difference.... delighted to take part in an interview on BBC breakfast this morning with my colleague. We are both Professors and Consultant ENT surgeons.....why don’t we get treated in the same way?

You don’t have to apologise if the answer is no! Be upfront & honest when you say it. Do it for self-care. Many can’t say no because they don’t want to appear rude or ill-mannered; & they’re concerned about the opinion of others. This is harmful behaviour. You’ve got to stop it!
People will have an opinion of you & there is nothing you can do about it. It’s become easier to do that especially hiding behind the keyboard. It requires no accountability, no understanding. How about we cultivate empathy instead; the ability to feel what others are feeling?
@scottalastair22 You are really going through it at the moment 😢and it’s okay to feel sad. Keep talking and give yourself some time. My inbox is always open.
Choose peace over attention. Today, many crave attention that sometimes they do it at the expense of what is priceless. Yes. Peace. You often see the most mundane detail of someone’s life on social media, expecting likes & comments. Stay away from the fray. Maintain your dignity.
