This has been one of the most beautiful journeys of becoming the woman I am today. ❤️

Growing up, there were so many parts of the girl child within me that I had never fully explored. Joining a women-empowering platform like Miss Tourism Uganda gave me the space to discover them — my confidence, my voice, my love for culture, and my passion for tourism.

It reminded me that culture is not only something we inherit; it is something we choose to learn, preserve, celebrate and pass on.

I may not have had the opportunity to learn my mother tongue, but that does not make me any less connected to where I come from. It does not take away my right to stand proudly for my people, tell our stories, wear our culture with pride and encourage others to discover it too.

This journey has taught me that representing your culture is not about being perfect. It is about being willing to learn, to embrace, and to make sure the stories that shaped us are never forgotten.

Miss Tourism Uganda helped me find a deeper love for the girl I was, the woman I am becoming, and the culture that will always be a part of my story. 🇺🇬❤️

And perhaps, this is only the beginning

Chimpanzees are indeed some of our closest relatives in the animal kingdom, and this one was such a character! 😂❤️
He reminded me so much of the good old days before Zakayo — a chimpanzee we all grew to know and love. Moments like this remind us just how intelligent, expressive and entertaining these incredible animals are.
