I’m still fired up from these guys’ performance yesterday! 🇦🇺🇦🇺
We were the underdogs, and this group of guys put on a clinic. So proud of the effort and determination they showed.
It’s always great to see Australians performing at the highest level on the world stage. Can’t wait for the next match against the United States Men’s National Soccer Team.
Let’s rip in.
Blue bags up.
Japan 2, Netherlands 2 — an absolute thriller in Arlington. And then the real show started.
The Japanese end pulls out thousands of bright blue bags. First they wave them like flags, bouncing and chanting until the whole section is one giant wall of blue. Then — same bags, new mission. They fan out across the stands and scoop up every bottle, wrapper and cup till the seats look brand new.
And who's right in the middle of it, grinning with a bag in his hand? Jameis Winston. Giants QB. Heisman winner. Out there cleaning up with the Samurai Blue like it's the best gig of his summer.
No chore. No lecture. Just a party that cleans up after itself.
Best fans on the planet. 🇯🇵💙
After Germany’s 7–1 win over Curaçao, something even more beautiful happened.
While everyone else celebrated, players from both teams formed a small circle together, put their arms around each other, and prayed.
Germany’s Felix Nmecha later explained:
“On the pitch we’re opponents. After the game, we’re all Christians and brothers. We simply prayed together because we’re grateful.”
In a world constantly trying to divide people, moments like this remind us what really matters. ❤️
🚨🗣️New: Thierry Henry reacts to the USA vs Paraguay stoppage for TV commercials:
“I’ve spent my entire life in this beautiful game — as a player at the highest level, as a fan, and now as someone who analyses it every week — and what unfolded during that USA versus Paraguay match left me deeply frustrated. The fourth official standing there on the touchline, arm raised high, instructing the referee to hold the restart… not for any injury, not for tactical reasons, and not even primarily for player hydration in that scorching heat. No. It was because the broadcast team hadn’t finished airing all their commercials. That’s not football. That’s a television show pretending to be a World Cup match.
The beautiful game is being strangled by greed. Players are out there in the heat, ready to restart, momentum building like a storm about to break — and we pause everything so the sponsors can cash in. It’s like stopping a symphony mid-crescendo because the advertisers want their jingle heard. Football didn’t conquer the world by turning into American sports with endless timeouts and ad breaks. We had rhythm, flow, emotion that flowed like a river. Now? It’s dammed up for dollars.
This isn’t about hydration or player welfare anymore — it’s a slippery slope where the soul of the game is sold piece by piece. Fans deserve better. Players deserve better. The referee on that pitch looked like a puppet on strings controlled from some broadcast truck. Enough is enough. We need to protect what made this sport the greatest on Earth before it disappears completely.”
The World Cup should be football’s cathedral. Instead, we’re turning it into a shopping mall with a pitch in the middle.
And here’s the question nobody wants to answer: if the fourth official is waiting for commercials, then who is really running the game? FIFA? The referee? Or the broadcasters?
Because the moment football starts asking advertisers for permission before asking the players, you’ve crossed a line.
The World Cup is supposed to be the showcase of football. Not the showcase of who paid the most for airtime.”
Cena LINDA na Copa do Mundo! ❤️✝️

🇯🇵❤️ Japan's tradition never fails to inspire.
After the draw against the Netherlands, Japanese fans stayed behind to clean their section of the stadium, picking up every piece of litter before leaving. 🚮
No cameras. No attention seeking. Just respect, discipline, and responsibility.
Football greatness isn't only shown on the pitch. 🇯🇵👏✨
🥹 Dick Advocaat was in tears before Curaçao's World Cup opener against Germany.
The 78-year-old led the island nation of just 150,000 people to their first-ever World Cup, calling it the most unbelievable achievement of his near 40-year managerial career.
However, in February, he was forced to step down as head coach due to his daughter's health issues, stating that 'family comes before football.'
But after returning in May, Advocaat has now made history as the oldest manager ever to take charge of a World Cup match at 78 years and 280 days old. 🇨🇼

Her father has Down syndrome. The doctors said he couldn't raise her… But they were wrong.
Michael worked, he learned, he was there for her every step of the way. Her mother left when she was six months old, but he never did. Today, she studies at the same university, and he applauded her on her first day and on her graduation.
