Liverpool would of been delighted in recouping so much money for

Any sale to a club in Europe, would of been considerably less.

They still made a loss on the original transfer, and to bring him back, even on a “free” requires a signing on fee, a payment to the agent and wages over a period over 4 years or so, maybe even higher than the first time around.

All this for a player, they deemed not good enough, hence, cutting their losses first time around, and allowing him to leave.

We should be looking forward, not backwards.
