Me 'n the whippet accidentally made films in Laos. RIP Mango-Dog, the first whippet of Lao film. Now it's just me & the shepherdy thing carrying your legacy.
Watched a video about some dude wanting to show off "Real Laos" off the beaten path. It starts with him going to Buddha park, one of the most touristic places on the outskirts of our city. ๐ชท๐คฃ
As a former manicurist, I'm confused by this viral "Russian Manicure" trend with an extra charge. I looked it up- It's just a regular old dry manicure, which is actually something we did when we were in a hurry. Why is it viral and why is it called that now? It's just a manicure.
So... Besides the fucked up accusations of immigrants eating cats and dogs being thrown around in the US, I'm hearing commentators and pundits also adding ducks and geese like it's so also shocking. Last I checked, duck and geese were not only delicious, but really good eats.
@viajeycine Chiang Mai this time is safe, but Chiang Rai & Nong Khai are under water. Sucks. It also causes a lot of anxiety that we can literally SEE Nong Khai across the river being flooded, and then we look down at the water seeping onto the roads, but only 5cm deep and think, we're next.
We didn't flood last night, but we're all exhausted from the anticipation of "will it won't it" nights. Look at these two, watching us check the water levels on the road instead of sleeping.
Canadian here.
We donโt have prayer in schools, or the Ten Commandments, or God. We also donโt have dead kids.
No Canadian child has ever died in a mass shooting in an elementary school. We have guns. What we donโt have is Republicans.
American has to get rid of Republicans.
I wish people wouldn't favorably compare my work to the works I really dislike. When folks admiringly say that I must have been inspired by said filmmaker's works, I physically want to vomit. I guess anything quiet and South East Asian gets compared to that though.
@gingras_alex He likes being around us, we can pick him up and move him places, he sleeps with me at my ankles every night, he just doesn't like to be pet or touched.
@TaniaZee8888@YooongisTongue@hailieshouse@ask_aubry Sounds like, "Occidentals, they're just so special, they don't do lowly migrant labor things like the poor browns." Never cease to be impressed by how well some Asian minds were colonized. Seeking love, opportunity, & work is just sooo low, these passport bros don't deserve that.
@TaniaZee8888@YooongisTongue@hailieshouse@ask_aubry Ok, wait, is this all just a long winded way of saying that you blame women from less developed country for marrying douchey passport bros? This is borderline FILTH mentality... Except not a Londoner. (Failed in London, Trying in Hong Kong.)
@TaniaZee8888@YooongisTongue@hailieshouse@ask_aubry Poor tent dwelling Americans couldn't even afford a ticket to fly from Los Angeles to Texas, much less to Hong Kong, one of the most expensive places in the world, to work as a domestic employee. Neither do most tent dwelling Americans have passports. Lmfao
@LDonivan@hailieshouse@ask_aubry They're not using their half of a brain cell to even think of anything that potentially empathetic. They just think we're all desperate for white bread out here in South East Asia.
@YooongisTongue@TaniaZee8888@hailieshouse@ask_aubry That person has probably never even traveled to South East Asia. It's ironic because even in "poor" parts of Philippines and Laos, it's ultra rare to see anyone living in a tent or box on the street. We poors in developing countries also eat better than poor Americans too.
