@BaigengXIV@schizothotep They’re labeled as Xeno’s because it’s just the third option outside of imperium or chaos
In lore it’s because the Inquisition considers their culture to be “too divergent” from humanity, so while they *are* biologically abhumans, a Votann is definitively no different to a T’au
@DinoStarStreams I say this to basically anyone that asks me but unless you have both the disposable income and time commitment to do TT40k, play Combat Patrol, Kill Team, or Necromunda.
Actual 40k is fine in batches after you’ve played other games, but the first entry fee just isn’t worth it
@lord_nanas@SigmarGodking@Clint_Davey1 It’s the latter. The “chaos gods” are warp entities, they are given presence within the immaterial by belief from beings in the materiel
You do not need to worship a “chaos god” to empower them, do you believe in a god/supernatural force? Then you contribute to them being gods
@lord_nanas@SigmarGodking@Clint_Davey1 If he originally came forward as the one true god of humanity, not only would that make him a huge hypocrite, but also just massively empower the warp
Good news is the Horus heresy probably wouldn’t have happened because the galaxy would’ve fallen to a daemonic incursion already
@lord_nanas@SigmarGodking@Clint_Davey1 The chaos gods only exist as gods because a belief in gods exists. That’s how the warp works; emotions are power and power is form. Regardless of the direction
The Emperor forbade all superstition entirely because it leads to belief, and belief is an emotional thing
@Namelesschicke2@Chainsword40k@idioticsynergy It drastically changes how to approach equipping your gang and it practically requires them to rewrite I think 7 types of armor that gave you a 6+ save
They’ve basically added at minimum (assuming you’re bringing 9 models) 90 credits to every single starter roster
@Argonian_Nwah@tetobrine The best and most effective way of dealing with hostile fauna was still deterrence or avoidance
You could not reasonably fight anything in the first game without a stasis rifle, even stalkers did 30 dmg an attack. That makes it at best a cheat code to dealing with hostile fauna
@WolfdawgArt If the trailer’s anything to go by they were painting Kasrkin so it’s probably a Kasrkin armor set with a hot-shot lasgun and a melta or plasma gun, maybe a melta mine as the throwable or stratagem
@Corvus_Valerius@Skimbeeble12@bruhnah76@Kalebjayboss In the first game where you canonically just died after dying, I could see it, but everyone in Subnautica 2 has potentially infinite lives in cannon
The colonists themselves test if a creature might not be killing them out of instinct by marking where it kills them on a map
@Corvus_Valerius@Skimbeeble12@bruhnah76@Kalebjayboss If you want to use within the context of the video game itself, then death is not entirely permanent since you can always reprint, theoretically even after being marked DNR
Death is treated like a game in the game itself, so dying is easily an annoyance more than a permanent
@Skimbeeble12@bruhnah76@Kalebjayboss The only real problem with Subnautica 2 in regards to the predators and hostile fauna is that their behavior and deterrents are either bugged or currently missing
Not being able to deter them isn’t the intentioned game design, being able to kill them is never intention
@Skimbeeble12@bruhnah76@Kalebjayboss You are absolutely throwing a tantrum because you can’t kill everything that annoys you
The entire theme of the first game is about how brute forcing yourself through nature doesn’t work, you have to find ways to work around it or with it to succeed
@dmax120288446@Lewott_ Heat’s not even in the top 3 of the Ghost era and there’s unironically a sizable group of people who say it’s a top 3 nfs game of all time
I personally can’t fathom how anyone thinks Heat is higher than a 3-4/10 when it never even had Speedlists
@Sir_radington@Dragonogon A new player can look up a tutorial on the complexities of redstone or mob farming whenever they want and Mojang knows this. These worlds don’t have to teach you that stuff so straightforwardly, they’re meant to teach you the basics and let you explore for yourself
@Sir_radington@Dragonogon These worlds are tailored exactly like the tutorial worlds were, if not more, as they all include basic Minecraft fundamentals nearby; with the rest supported by the minecrafts own in-game hint system
The only difference is these are more open ended
