If Cody v Logan is for the belts, it’s easy to assume Cody is winning. How would you book Cody as a double champion? How do you take the US Title off him before his destined feud with Rock? I personally don’t like double champs, too much talent on the roster to do it.

@Teal20489421011 Very much agree, I wanted a few more close calls with Cody being pinned to really plant a seed of doubt that he potentially won’t win. AJ taking one Cross-Rhodes did make him seem a little weak but after the top rope Cody Cutter I was okay with the one.

AJvCody for sure delivered. For what was the most predictable match, they had to go do something special with this match. And they did just that. What a first title defense for Cody, and AJ looked great as well. Both showed up and both showed out!

@BMBMMIX2 I’m gonna give it a 8.6. Amazing atmosphere, great matches, great story telling. I think adding one more match to this show could’ve gotten it higher. Overall very pleased with Backlash

I still think that was one of the better women’s tag titles matches in recent memory. However, some ugly spots/botches and the whole “KAIRI YOU’RE NOT LEGAL” really derailed the whole match. Still cool spots, but for me the ugly will be what I remember.

Kabuki Warriors FOR SURE losing after WWE took their whole entrance to promote the ‘Prime’ brand. Giving little to no attention to the CURRENT champions entrance is a sign.

Enjoyed the Jey v Priest match. I think if you take the crowd out of it, it was maybe a 7.3/10. Great false finishes and in-ring story telling.

BUT THAT PRIEST/FINN MOMENT AFTERMATH WAS CHEF’S KISS.

Another excellent match from the Ladies!

Only criticism is the finish. I understand trying to protect Naomi so I roll up pin is more of a “got ya” spot but we also need to establish Bayley as champion. Would’ve preferred a true finish but otherwise great match!

WHAT A WAY TO START A SHOW!

Making a No DQ stipulation pre-match was excellent. This match needed the violence to show how serious this new Bloodline is. Loa Tanga Debut was awesome. Makes you even more excited for Jacob Fatu potentially. So much they could do.
