You and I Are Polar Opposites – 7.5/10

Had a really good time with this.

The comedy lands well, the dub slang actually feels natural, and the whole vibe of the show felt really refreshing for a rom-com.

Typical tropes are there, but it does them in its own way. Suzuki was genuinely hilarious too.

Only thing I wanted more from was the Nishi/Yamada side of things, but maybe that gets expanded later.

Definitely starting the manga after this. Easy recommend.

Let This Grieving Soul Retire – 5/10

Honestly struggled with this one.

It has some funny moments and the misunderstanding gag is entertaining at first, but it got stale pretty fast for me.

Also had a lot of that “everyone loves the MC because he’s the MC” energy which I’m usually not a huge fan of.

Didn’t hate it, but definitely one I was happier to finish than keep watching.

Call of the Night – 10/10

Finished this and honestly… I love it. It’s literally my pfp for a reason.

The story feels really unique, the comedy lands, and the way everything develops over time is just so satisfying.

Great mix of rom-com, a bit of action, and some darker themes that are handled really well.

One of my favourites. Can’t recommend it enough—everyone should read this
