@malsamaaz There is a room boy and a waiter who worked for me. Both became MPs and one still is. I have a close relationship with them and am proud of them both.
Building walls is not a solution. Shows how polarised the branches of governance and the people are. Instead of building walls let's look at the problems why walks need to be build and solve the problem instead.
Parliament failed to gain quorum for the bills on Presidential Commissions on corruption probe and suspicious murders. Again. It is very clear this is an act of deliberate sabotage, by those with something to hide and a vested interest in covering up those past crimes.
@chikogeorge1@ibrahimmdidi Not disturbed. Sad. You think criticizing without checking facts is best. It's not constructive. Next you will say I worked with Dr. Waheed. Just ask Raees Nasheed why. Remember RN was arrested in Fares Methoda and brought to Male. Then joind Waheed. Till RY came RN was free.
Male is congested. No overnight solution. But people living in Male must rest & sleep 2. Why is the City Council not using its legal power to make ordinances to alleviate noise pollution, especially on overnight construction work, playing of loud music etc? Lethargy? Inadequacy?
@ibrahimmdidi@chikogeorge1 Thank you Sir. After the council elections I became Mayor. I saw some councillors was more interested in money than serving. When I tried to stop I was threatened with No Confidence. So I resigned. This is the first time I have mentioned this.
I was mayor for a very short time. I resigned.
I am proud of the work I did as Municipal Cheif. Created small parks, vehicle parking areas, cleared up the market, introduced a bus service and so on. Even if you have insomnia, a lot of people in Male remember it.
@ManikSarangu Were you in a coma for the entire period you held on to the title of Male City Mayor. This city did not turn into a spaghetti junction a day ago...Just a small reminder...
How ugly. Is there no limit to the corruption among us? Unless we are willing to take the bull by the horn, I am afraid that there is no future for Maldives. Cry my beloved country!
Corruption cause poverty.
We pay tax money to goverment to get basic facilities & to develop country. When they steal our tax money & corruption happens, we don’t get what we paid for. Result is poverty.

I will be shortly speaking at JNU in New Delhi, about why South Asia needs democracies - because autocrats, will likely sell out their country’s sovereignty in exchange for kick-backs and bribes.
