I was so proud of my father every time he wore this pin on his uniform chest. Following a distinguished career in the Indian Air Force, 31 years he flew as crew for Air India.
While he would let me hold his pin, never let me wear it. “these wings have to be earned” he always said.
30 years since he retired from flying and 19 since he left us for someplace better. Still haven’t worn his pin/wings. Hold it every once in a while though.
This ad reminded me of him. And the greatness this airline should be.

Honored and educated over my two-day introduction into the heart and engine of the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and youth training and development academy.

A beautiful convergence of legacy, passion, performance, vision and resolve wrapped with the discipline and economics of sport.

In what can be a huge lesson for those paying attention, is a 121-year legacy producing some of the finest football talent/experiences known to humanity - standing resolute through a tough period.

Knowing. And believing that no amount of time or effort is too long or too much to build true greatness. Remaining steadfast in its mission of increasing its relevance to global communities.

And all this talk of Artificial Intelligence and the future of a tech enabled civilisation.......watching the Spurs play last week in the new Hotspurs Stadium, I heard and felt (the very un-artificial) emotions of 60,000+ souls reverberating through the finest acoustically engineered venue I have been to. Backing the team to come back to draw from two goals down.

I was reminded what it means to be human. To feel. To yearn. To persevere. To fall but not fail.
To love. To live. To never give up.

For to dare is (indeed) to do.
