We are incensed by genocide denialist lies from the provincial government on residential schools, and educators have a duty to ensure that those lies don't go unchallenged. Join us tomorrow morning at the Legislature, and let's correct the record. #NoTruthNoReconciliationRally
People should make their own signs and bring Palestinian flags. Nothing will be distributed at the Legislature due to public health orders. Stay in your cars! Make your voices heard! Solidarity with Palestine! #nakba73#SaveSheikhJarrah#FreePalestine#HandsOffAlAqsa
Emergency protest for Palestine tomorrow! Local Palestinians have called for a Car Caravan meeting at the Legislature on Saturday at 1 p.m. This is the one and unified response in Winnipeg to the emergency in Israel/Palestine.
The car caravan beginning at the Legislature will proceed down Broadway to Main Street, and then all the way north on Main to Leila, west on Leila to Keewatin, and then back to Portage Avenue, ending up back at the Legislature.
Those without vehicles can participate safely by coming with signs and dispersing to different downtown street corners to support the protest. The maximum number of people who can gather outdoors in public spaces socially distanced is currently 5.
