Speaking about PlayStation…. 😍
The attention to detail is truly wild on this 1,911-piece console replica releasing in October.
And guess who is having his birthday in October?
Sony will stop physical PlayStation games in 2028. PS Plus had another price hike this year. Microsoft is pushing cloud gaming harder. Everyone is angry, but the gaming community helped make this possible. Let’s be honest…
I am a heavy PlayStation user. I pay for PS Plus. I buy games. And I am done pretending this is only about “evil corporations”.
The numbers I live with as a PlayStation player:
•PS5 hardware keeps getting more expensive.
In Europe, the standard PS5 went from €549.99 to €649.99 (+€100).
The Digital Edition jumped from €449.99 to €599.99 (+€150).
PS5 Pro sits at €899.99.
•PS Plus prices just went up again (May 2026).
Monthly subscriptions in Europe now cost:
•Essential: €9.99 (was €8.99, +11%)
•Extra: €15.99 (was €13.99, +14%)
•Premium: €18.99 (was €16.99, +12%)
Yearly plans are still €71.99 (Essential), €125.99 (Extra), €151.99 (Premium), but if you pay monthly for a year you end up at roughly €119.88 / €191.88 / €227.88 respectively. That is a huge premium for flexibility.
•Games are often more expensive digitally than physically.
As a regular buyer, I see it every week: new AAA titles on PS Store stay at €79.99–€89.99 for months, while the same games on discs drop to €50–€60 within weeks at retailers. Digital has no second-hand market, no price competition between shops, and fewer deep discounts.
What this means in real money
If you are a committed PlayStation player in Europe today, your baseline costs look like this:
•One PS5 (disc): €649.99
•PS Plus Essential, 1 year (monthly): €119.88
•4 new AAA games per year at digital prices (~€80 each):€320
That is already almost €1,100 per year, before any extra subscriptions, DLC, or impulse buys. And from 2028, even if you own a disc console, new games will only exist as digital licenses.
Where the community fits in?
Yes, Sony and Microsoft are the ones setting these rules. But:
•Millions still pay full price for digital games instead of hunting physical deals.
•Millions keep renewing PS Plus even after multiple price hikes.
•Millions accepted the slow closure of physical stores because “downloading is easier”.
Companies do not operate in a vacuum. They watch what we tolerate. Every time we complain online but still click “Buy” or “Renew”, we teach them that this model works.
My point of view?
I am not saying “stop playing” or “boycott everything tomorrow”. I am saying:
•We can be honest that we are part of this system.
•We can demand better: fairer prices, real ownership options, and a slower push to pure digital.
•We can use our money more consciously: physical when possible, waiting for sales, questioning every “must-have” launch-day purchase.
Sony and Microsoft are not villains because they want profit. They become villains when we let them define all the rules without pushing back.
I will keep playing. But I will stop pretending my choices do not matter.
You believe in what you want to believe! If everything you say was true you think that Sony would not have comeback on their intentions?
You saw what the Sony lawyers said in relation to digital ownership?
The numbers are on their side and we only can blame the gaming community! We let this coming to as it is when we allow paying to play online, wen we allow to play for digital copies instead of leaving the couch to go to a game store!
Wen allowed the closer of game stores due to the lack of clients!
And know is Sony fault?? Grow up or wake, I don’t care, but assume the shit you did (all the gaming community)!
@zahra_mcghee@CultureDetox13@xOperatorxTim@Grummz For your information you need to wake up, and look for the numbers… the social network bubble is not a proper way! Your algorithm is going to show you what you want to see!
@CultureDetox13@xOperatorxTim@Grummz I don’t know where you live but here the PS5 pro is out of stock! Go see the pre sales of GTA, Onimusha, Wolverine etc! I don’t think they are that much different from the past!
But is my opinion! Maybe I’m wrong!
You can say whatever you want, but don’t call a disaster or saying Sony is having any type of backlash! You can look just for the numbers! Of games and consoles sales last weeks!
I don’t agree with the digital decision, but I know that Sony did this because they have the numbers on their side!
@andr3barroso Is important to remove the noise to make the best and most sensible decisions, especially with our finances.
And unfortunately nowadays people don’t care about veracity, just hype and clicks!
I keep seeing people say that “the European Union is coming for our savings.”
That is not what is happening , and we need to be more careful with these headlines.
I don’t agree with the atitudes and decisions form Ursula von der Leyen, and I am praying for the day that she leaves the office.
But the EU’s Savings and Investment Union is a plan launched in March 2025 to make it easier for Europeans to invest part of their money in companies, funds, pensions, and long-term projects, instead of leaving everything in bank deposits.
The figure people keep sharing is around €10 trillion in household savings held in deposits and similar products. It is not money the EU is planning to collect or confiscate.
The other big number is up to €470 billion, this is not a bill sent to citizens or money taken from bank accounts. It is the Commissions estimate of additional investment that could be unlocked through better capital market rules, savings and investment accounts, pension products, bank and insurance rules, and cross border access to investment products.
The key word here is choice. The idea is to give people more simple and potentially tax-friendly ways to invest if they want to. Your savings account is still yours.
The EU does not get access to your bank balance, and this plan does not create a power to take private deposits.
Now, that does not mean we should accept every policy without questions and we should ask how these products will be designed, whether people will properly understand the risks, whether fees will be fair, and whether the EU is giving too much power to central supervision.
Moving money from cash deposits into investments can bring higher returns over time, but it also brings more market risk.
But that is a real discussion. Saying “Brussels will take €470 billion from Europeans to fund whatever it wants” is not accurate reporting. It is a fear headline built around big numbers.
We should always question politicians and institutions.
But we should also question accounts that turn every proposal into panic just to get likes, reposts, and attention.
Facts first. Context always. Fear is not a financial strategy.

LEGO Dragon Ball may finally be happening, but it is still a rumor.
The most credible leak points to the first official set being LEGO Icons 11390: Shenron, reportedly arriving on 1 November 2026, and it is said to be a big adult display set with around 1,760 pieces, including a brick-built Shenron, young Goku, Flying Nimbus, and the Dragon Balls.
Price reports put it somewhere between €150 and €200, but would personally expect the European price to land close to €199.99, due to other sets price point.
There are also rumors of a full Dragon Ball Z LEGO line coming in April 2027, with sets based on Namek, Goku vs. Raditz, Frieza’s spaceship, Kame House, a buildable Vegeta, and more.
For Dragon Ball fans like me, this could be huge and a “shut up and take my money” situation.
But for now, there are no official photos, no official product page, and no official confirmation from LEGO or Toei.

After my last post about the EU Savings and Investment Union, I think this is the question we should really be asking.
Europe wants to encourage citizens to move part of the roughly €10 trillion held in savings and deposits into long term investments. The goal is to unlock as much as €470 billion for European businesses, innovation, energy, defence, and growth. I understand it. Europe needs more capital invested in Europe.
But then we have news like the EU has now putting ChatGPT under the strictest tier of the Digital Services Act after it reached the 45 million monthly user. Reddit and Roblox were put in the same category.
That brings more risk assessments, audits, reporting, and compliance obligations.
And this is where the message struggles.
On one side, Europe says we need Europeans to invest more in European companies because we need innovation, competitiveness, and stronger capital markets, and on the other side, Europe keeps making the environment more complex for the companies that could become the next global leaders.
Big American companies can afford thousands of lawyers, compliance teams, and years of regulatory battles. A European startup trying to become the next OpenAI, Nvidia, ASML, or even the next major platform cannot always afford the same burden.
Europe does not only need people to invest their savings, needs more companies worth investing in and make us to put more money into European markets, then it also needs to make sure European companies can start here, scale here, list here, and remain here.
We should not be forced to choose between protecting people and creating innovation. Europe needs to do both.
Let me guess:
- Openrouter will have to remove certain models from the catalogue if the IP you registered from is from the EU, if those models have low censorship and low rejection rates
-"Too powerful" models will only arrive a month late, or two... all decided by a committee.
Absolute joke
