THEY MATCHED!! So proud to say 3 out of 3 pediatric surgery fellowship applicants matched - the most our program has ever had apply in one year!
Can’t wait to see you all succeed and be tiny human surgeons! 👶
Please join us in congratulating our newest pediatric surgery fellow match, Dr. Kylie — currently a general surgery resident and ECMO fellow at @UChicagoMed. We look forward to welcoming her to the team and celebrating the next step in her training journey!

@drchethansathya@elonmusk@Tesla Another point to consider is the environmental impact of AI. The amount of natural resources that will burn in the quest to teach a machine to make millions of nuanced decisions in the OR is probably not sustainable. That being said, man has never stopped progress to protect 🌏
In honor of Dr. Robert Bartlett’s passing, here is the first ECMO patient, Esperanza Pineda, both on ECMO shortly after birth in 1975 and at age 44. She is now 50.
This is not okay, no type of gun violence is acceptable. Guns should not be in the hands of dangerous individuals. Regardless of our opinions of people, this is tragic on all fronts.
We have had the great honor to train and be roasted by @BenjaminTManyMD over the last 2 years. We’ll miss him dearly but are really excited to his career flourish! Thanks to @alanpladd for hosting the graduation roast.
Only possible with great mentorship @bnaikma@UCLASurgeryRes. Thank you @APSASurgeons for recognizing our work highlighting the epidemic of firearm homicide in children’s homes
Firearm homicide happens at home in 2/3 of children under 12 - most commonly by parents, and associated with child abuse. Safe storage is not enough to prevent this. ERPO/DVRO policies and domestic violence screening may help. Amazing work by @JRookMD at #APSA25@APSASurgeons
The jaw dropping statistics continue. Thank you @JRookMD for shedding light on the strikingly high rate of AT HOME HOMICIDE in cases of pediatric GSW deaths. #EndGunViolence#APSA25
