Thrilled to announce that my poem, The Heart's Archive, has been published in the ATLA Journal! It explores diasporic life, cultural displacement, resilience, and hope. The poem is inspired by Psalm 23.

Postgraduate researchers from @CovUni_GLEA recently hosted a conference which delved into various concepts of identity and home.✨
The event explored 'diasporic identity' & featured an array of contributions including papers, posters, presentations, poetry, & spoken word. 👇
Really looking forward to our next @racexchange seminar with @LucaMorini11 who will be addressing a really pressing topic. Much can be said about the subject of publishing in academia and hidden expectations on it. Join us for what will be an exciting & engaging time together!🤞🏾
Well said @mannyjayking. Gorgeous selah in my day to see how @OscarMucyo has managed to communicate the strength, resilience and LIFE radiating out of these women and their stories @4refugeewomen
I can feel some port-side exhibitions ahead of us! #refugeeswellcum
Really enjoyed seeing these beautiful portraits and stories of refugee women who have moved to the UK in search of sanctuary & refuge. In a time of mass dehumanisation, these images serve as a reminder of their humanity & dignity. Incredible work by @OscarMucyo & @4refugeewomen!
A massive shoutout to one of our guest speakers, who kindly took time out of his busy schedule to present his research at our conference. @mannyjayking has been extremely supportive to the PhD RaceXChangers. Thank you Dr. Emmanuel Johnson, we really appreciate you. 🙌🏼👏🏼
A few more photos of the inspirational and lovely speakers who presented their work at our conference on the 12th of June 2024 🫶🏼📚 @britsoci#academia#phd

Honoured to speak about my postdoc research on African student diasporic identities at the @racexchange BSA event today. It's been a great year diving into diaspora studies and the African student experience. Congrats to our amazing Race Xchange PGRs and all today's speakers too!
It was my pleasure to participate in the Distinguished Africa Lecture and Panel Discussion 2024 by Warwick Africa Hub. My personal highlight was meeting @tmarwala and hearing him speak. What an inspiration he is to me and many other Africans!
Attended Warwick distinguished lecture series today🎙️ Was such an engaging talk delivered by Professor Tshilidzi Marwala, who showed me a book he has written in Chinese 🤗Inspired by his insights on data, computing and application in education context. #warwickafricahub
In the past two years a group of enthusiastic global doctoral education scholars and ECRs have come together for regular discussions on ‘taboos’. Now the effort has been translated into this special issue to be published by Higher Education Quarterly. Abstracts welcome!🤗
It was a pleasure to be on the panel sharing tips on PhD and ECR experiences with @mannyjayking and @JanetWKilp at the 11th Education Studies PGR Annual Conference @WarwickESConf today. Fruitful discussions and hope they inspired new ideas! #conference#phdlife
