2006 @UMassMLacrosse favorite D1 team of alltime. No team got more out of their talent, progressed more in every stage of the season, knew their roles and responsibilities, followed the plan and realized their full potential better.

Every successful organization has a COO that keeps the engine running. Hiring Jac was the single most important MCLA move to date. Ascending organizations have a CEO who look past the day to day ops to manage the change thats inevitable. @Mcla time for a fulltime commissioner?
This happens often when lacrosse defenders approach the ball in zone coverages (who need to get off the ball quick and cover a skip lane) but is also a problem for keepers who are set to low with too wide of a stance or dip in anticipation of a shot. You're frozen.
“Dip time”, “stay as athletic as you can as long as you can”
Way to many, way over do “breaking down” condense body way too much and too early.
You can’t react, change direction or reaccelerate from those positions.
Win the space, dip late, pull trigger, go boom.
Seem's mundane, right. Wrong! Technique driven instruction at the highest levels of the game. Teach it. Demo it. Film it. Practice it in position specific breakout...Stop doing drills that dont mimic what happens on game day.

"We knew they were going to switch early" describing his 1st goal.If you are competing at a high level game day is %70 base systems %30 executing advanced scout. If your practices b4 gameday dont include team film, digital scout, walkthru n live scout team then you dont want to win.
Dback looks like a Dmid "keepin the ball down the side". Unfair race to the goal. Reciever/dodger knows when race starts-stops/direction of route/etc.
When will lax coaches square up the ball? Route disruption in football same as dodge disruption in lax. Or you can slide all day?
Who was the better Centerfeilder? Willie Mays or Joe DiMaggio? DiMaggio never made great catches like Mays. Never had to! Every ball came right to him. @BRiorden10 is DiMaggio. In position and NEVER FLAT STEPS! Saves every ball w/in the width of his torso.

When hiring lacrosse places to much emphasis on "Pedigree"(where you played)and "3 degrees of Kevin Bacon"(who you know)instead of traits like drive, intellect, industriousness, imagination. Meet Justin Licker. Never played a down of football his whole life.

McDaniel's "Jet Motion to Route" works for the same reason that lacrosse D's meeting the ball inside the box/sending it down the side doesn't. BC Its impossible for defenders to cover something that starts sooner and is moving faster than them.

Josh Allen in 10/23 PG interview "Execution breeds Energy". Many players and coaches believe the opposite.
Jon Danaher "Confidence is the result of proven skills". Not a coaches words. So many players and coaches believe the opposite.

If your lacrosse Split and Roll Dodges are ineffective its bc you're not using your whole body on the fake. Watch @stefondiggs releases vs. press coverage OR watch the best crossover in @NBA history...Badass AIlen Iverson

"They do that over and over and over. Those kids do it a 1000X a year in practice for that one opportunity to do it out there". Meyer on accumulating skills/perfecting technique. A popular notion in lacrosse that you accumulate skills by playing. This isn't true in any disipline.
Yep. Bigger Stronger Faster. Coaches can "outcoach" talent, scheme's and system's. They cant outcoach Bigger Stronger Faster. Lacrosse players should be training like college cornerbacks. Max strength with minimum mass. https://t.co/rPW8U1Q4k0
Coach Paul Toscano 1968 @WACsports POY @HeismanTrophy nominee looking great last night @CN__Football honoring the '73 Undefeated team he coached. Thankful to have tough teachers and coaches. I get older/they get smarter!
Watch out @Big12Conference !! Coach Dave Smart is south of the border and sending you to your weak hand. @TexasTechMBB fans will enjoy the D and Tech will create more transition on more unforced TO's. Meet Coach Smart here.... https://t.co/GXljjF5mHC
Detail oriented people are fascinating and operate in arenas that reward this level of observation. Basketball and Football coaches MUST operate at this level of analysis. This is happening in D1 Lacrosse. I hope the trend continues. Better for everyone.
