The WBC should become a private company at any moment now and put the acronyms .INC or .SA behind its name; what it has done with the 147-pound division in the last 4 months is simply incredible:
First, it allows Manny Pacquiao to return after 5 years of retirement, being a Hall of Famer, and fight for the world title against Mario Barrios. Manny loses and they rank him #1.
– Then it allows the fight between Barrios and Ryan Garcia, who came from testing positive against Haney, suffering a suspension of more than 1 year, and also being defeated and dropped by Rolly Romero.
– Now, as if that weren’t enough, they rank Conor Benn #1, who hasn’t fought in that division in more than 3 years, and even back then he also tested positive for PEDs.
Laughable.

Juste l'année dernière la WBC suspendait Garcia de toute activité avec la WBC suite à son contrôle positif au dopage. Garcia revient pour perdre contre Rolly Romero, et maintenant cette même WBC lui offre un combat pour le titre au détriment de Souleymane Cissokho. Pathétique.

Last comment - fighters don’t pay fees to fight in contests, they pay fees from their fights. Look at the WBC rankings and see how many fighters are not regional champions
