[Bibek Debroy @bibekdebroy]

The foreign influence wanes,
So read the weather vanes.
Filthy lucre of a foreign land
Has sullied many a hand
And fogged the brains.

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

@bibekdebroy brilliant as usual!

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

Certainly he has a choice. But Quite a puzzle why the Big B is rumoured to donate little to charity.
But am still a big fan.

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

@ManojpPant Bibek Debroy should be congratulated for his comments on tax on agricultural income. Income tax is tax on incomes not on people!

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

In its 'Congress Mukt' program the BJP has one willing partner: the Congress! With Rahul Gandhi the Trojan horse!

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

Trump declares war on the world ( including the US) with a Soviet ally! Will the world run for cover or react?

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

If trump wants to make a wall with Mexico that survives all sabotage he must invest in India in Ambuja Cement!

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

@dsen68 of course it was. The only sector that has grown since about 1980 is the informal sector which is cash intensive!

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

@dsen68 yes,
And given the size of this informal sector you'll be back to where you were before the note ban! Cannot enforce a digital econ.

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

Does anyone realise how many millions earn income by performing those transactions which will be eliminated in a digital world ?

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

Suppose we all go digital and use our phones/bank to make payments. What happens to those who earn by doing small pieces of work for us?

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

A foreigner from a developing country marvelled at the patience of Indians waiting at queues for cash! One month more then the fun begins!

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

Gresham's law is now working. As the only serious tender is Rs. 100 note it will slowly disappear as everyone tries to push out 2000 note!

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

Unless demonetisation is followed up immediately by improved digital governance, black money will reach same level in 5 years.

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

The issue is not whether demonetisation removes black money but whether it is the least costly method in terms of loss of jobs and income.

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

How crazy is this? Americans counting votes and Indians counting notes! Jai Hind!

[Manoj Pant @ManojpPant]

Which will be better news ? That Trump has lost the US elections or that Arnab Goswami is no longer chief news editor of Times Now?

How do you solve the Indo-Pak problem? Try the 'trade for peace' approach, instead of vice-versa https://t.co/vtFgpuEcUR via @CatchNews

Indo-Pak relations: try 'trade for peace' approach instead of 'peace for trade' https://t.co/vtFgpuEcUR via @CatchNews

Can there be a more shameless father than Donald Trump? Does locker room talk mean to trash your own family?
And with them in the audience?
