Today Penguin Class have been on their local area walk. We explored the area around our school, looking at houses, shops and local features.
Back at school, we shared our ideas about what we saw in our floor book and looked carefully at the photos we took.

Today, Year 3 went on a Field Trip around our local area to look at what the land around us is used for. The children were superbly behaved & represented Manor Park First School fantastically! Thank you to the parent volunteers who supported us with our walk. #manorparksuperstars

Year One have been naming and describing 2D and 3D shapes. We have looked at their properties, and with 3D shapes, thought about which would be able to balance and which will fall over. We have worked together to make a 2D shape jigsaw.

Yesterday, in our Computing lesson, Owl Class created a program to move a sprite in four directions. We:

Year 3 are loving their Ukulele lessons with Mrs Ely.
So far, they have learnt the chords of C, am, F and E. We are learning lots of songs for our concert which we will perform to parents on the 2nd July and 9:15am.

Year 1 have been busy this week describing sea creatures with the shark being a firm favourite. So, in drawing club we learnt how to draw a shark.

Year 1 have been staying healthy with their daily run. We started at 1:22 & are now down to an amazing 1:08. We work as a team & only stop the clock when everyone is around the course. The only thing we race is the clock The children are very motivated and ensure we don’t miss it
