Now that 2027 is around the corner, my phone suddenly rings again. I have been receiving numerous calls from my Forgotten Friends recently.

The same voices, the same sweet words. They want us to “mobilize” youths, to “support their movement.”

I still remember back in school, how we shouted in political rallies till our voices cracked, carried politicians agendas under the sun, and stood for the people who promised us a better tomorrow.
The same people who, once they got into power, disappeared like smoke.
