@redsteeze Lots of reading comprehension failure in the comments. Miller said that Obama is trying to rise above the “devastation caused by his people” who made such comments. If you think this means he said Obama personally made the comments, turn in your Quality Learing Center gold star.
@StanDiver Bots need:
- A sniper trooper
- A melee trooper armed with a blade and medium armor shield
- A flamethrower tank
- A flamethrower scout strider
@franzsherbert I always took it to mean that the Triwizard Tournament traditionally concluded with a labyrinthine maze, and that historically competitors were so desperate to win that behavior like Krum’s was normal and expected, which was why no red flags went off when he attacked the others.
@TheColeBrew I wish on MOs like this they’d at least make the MO planet a recon campaign (remember when those were a thing?) so the rest of the galactic war doesn’t have to flounder while the MO divers have our time wasted.
@TheColeBrew We almost never win any MO with a number in it. Complete X operations, gather X samples, kill X enemies. The number is almost always out of reach. Just an excuse to distract us so Joel can seize more planets. 3 invasions, knowing how challenging this MO was already, is insulting.
@NoMoneProd@jm_8201@SirSnipeyy That’s exactly my theory that I stated elsewhere in this thread: his inside contact, who they establish has enough tech access to retrieve the TIE launch codes - likely falsified his access.
@ScriptTrooper People don’t seem to understand there should be a difference between using the vastness of the galaxy to hide in plain sight in a remote city and infiltrating a guarded secret research facility. But given that we know he had an inside contact I assume she falsified his access.
@LaggingDuck@SirSnipeyy That would make sense. Personally I also assume his contact on the inside (who had at least some level of tech access since she got him the TIE’s launch codes) could have falsified his access. Like I said, plenty of ways to explain it, but not an unreasonable thing to ask about.
@WebHeadAK@SirSnipeyy They evolved from a 1000-year govt that just fought a multi-year civil war, so I assume they’d have some sense of fundamental operational security. And it’s a stark contrast from the intense prep, training, and sheer luck we saw that they needed for the Aldhani infiltration.
@Shadel44@AvatarKyber@SirSnipeyy IIRC they scanned your face to ensure you weren’t a criminal and as long as you didn’t flag any alarms you got access. Probably easier to maintain than a list of approved persons given the Imperial Army’s size, but vulnerable to “first time offender” infiltrators.
@jm_8201@SirSnipeyy I expect it would be much more difficult to forge a way past facial recognition security, which we’ve already seen that the Empire utilizes, and which the Empire should flag him under since he’s a wanted fugitive by the ISB.
@Shadel44@AvatarKyber@SirSnipeyy No but in order to get onto Area 51 you’d need to pass multiple layers of background checks that include photo ID, which would flag Cassian as a fugitive since we already know the Empire uses facial recognition technology to prevent unauthorized systems access.
@SirSnipeyy Especially since we know from Mando S2 that the Empire utilizes facial recognition technology. And presumably, Cassian, as a wanted fugitive, would have been flagged.
@SirSnipeyy I need to show ID to enter a military base which is then verified before I’m granted entry. It’s fair to ask why the Empire doesn’t take similar basic precautions, or how Andor got around them if they do. Nothing that can’t be explained, surely, but not an unreasonable question.
@Pixel_Astronaut@ScriptTrooper Pressing it himself and then trolling Obi-Wan by asking if he pressed it would be pretty on point for Anakin, though. So it’s a fair question.
@matpolloy The difference being of course that unlike the MG-34, the AK-47 is perhaps the world’s most visually iconic rifle due to its global proliferation. No normie is going to recognize the Sterling SMG used for an E-11, but an essentially unmodified AK? Yes, people will notice.
