LOW CAP GUIDELINES
Lotta low cap talk on the feed, so let me help. Now you're prob saying "wtf does Chase know about low caps, he's a boring trad-fi trader lately". Little do they know I was calling gems like $DERO, $ZEL, and $GPU for 20x-50x's years ago. OG's know these tickers.
RISK AMOUNTS PER LOW CAP
3 fig port = $10-20 risk
4 fig port = $20-50 risk
5 fig port = $50-100 risk
6 fig port = $100-500 risk
7 fig port = $500-1k risk
8 fig port = you dont need low caps
Note: Small portfolios should aim to only take high conviction trades. You have less ammo when your portfolio is small. Do your best to make every trade count. You can "spray and pray" more after building a larger portfolio.
This is how I've personally handled risk with low caps over the years. In my opinion, if you're turning $100 into 2k or 1k into 10k, you absolutely crushed your current low cap trade. CT glorifies the single person who bought PEPE, forgot about his wallet, and found out his $500 turned into 1 million, but the chances of being that person (to find it super early and choose the right coin from hundreds of coins launching daily) is literally 1 in 10 million.
So take profits along the way. Going from coin to coin and taking profit at 3x, 5x, 10x, and leaving a 10-20% HODL bag is how you grow as a low cap trader. You pay yourself, roll some of the previous profits into the next bag, so on and so forth.
Long gone are Chase's sleepless nights on Etherdelta and Cryptotopia asking "when next burn?" in the gem's telegram, but I wanted to provide some real guidelines and expectations for anyone messing with low caps nowadays. Keep the risk low, TP along the way, leave a very small amount for the homerun, and keep grinding.
