@AlexanderBlakeW@NotJasonRogers @Mjolyyy_ @VtheEsquire Sweden has almost SEVEN times the union percent that the US does, they also have universal education and healthcare, to compare us to them is absurd.
@LadyFre50911584@Public_Citizen Shit why not four or five!? Matter of fact let's just cut out sleep and work more to get by, a little heart attack or stroke is no big deal right?
If you're an executive whose employees:
-make minimum wage
-can barely make rent
-can't rise within the company
-have a huge turnover rate
Your business model isn’t sustainable.
@RetaliateForce@JosephNSanberg@wendellpotter When an employer pays a wage so low that their employees are on food stamps/subsidized housing, other taxpayers are paying to keep that business afloat. You are sacrificing other peoples tax dollars for your business to run.

@RetaliateForce@JosephNSanberg@wendellpotter Not federally, many state minimums have. It's 13.50 where I live and I'm not seeing the results that you are telling me about. Even if that is the case why is that used as an excuse not to raise it? The small businesses that can compete will.
@RetaliateForce@JosephNSanberg@wendellpotter We already have multiple places with a higher minimum wage, I live in one. You are telling me big business is eating up all the small business in my area? Because I'm not seeing it.
@RetaliateForce@JosephNSanberg@wendellpotter Big companies don't have unlimited positions available, small business still makes up the majority of business in the US, this is false nonsense, imagine thinking the federal minimum wage being the same for almost a decade and a half is a good thing?
@ImdorMC@BreadPanes "where I live" You seen the cost of living in Manhattan New York or San Francisco CA? That's not a proper measurement of Denmark as a whole, instead of calling me a troll and resorting to insults just have a healthy debate like an adult.
@ImdorMC@BreadPanes Understandable however Denmark has a better transportation system than USA so I question how heavily that affects people who don't drive. That is also only one expense, when factoring healthcare/food/housing I don't understand how you are getting 180%
@ImdorMC@BreadPanes 180%? You have a source for that? Because from what I've gathered that isn't true. Average house price is only about 15-20% higher so where do you get 180% from?
@washingtonpost This is horrifying for the kids that actually need those meals. Food is a basic human need that many people don’t have access to.
Food for the needy is about the most direct way to put taxpayer dollars to a great use.
