@fyeahtourist I loved Children of Time! It was one of the first Tchaikovsky novels I read and now I have a whole shelf. I also like how his aliens are *very* alien
Work from home days are great because I can climb a hill and walk through regenerating forest (and invasive weeds) on my lunch break and, in the morning, wild parrots gallop across the roof.
@fyeahtourist ๐คฃ I have a very low heat tolerance so it's perfect for me. I was miserable visiting even Seattle in summer and when I went to Michigan I just about died
@fyeahtourist No, usually thoughout the year. Though I have seen a few big swings when the wind changes!
On a walk right now and it's a lovely 59F. Tshirt weather!
@fyeahtourist Temperatures here usually range between about 39F and 73F (our all time record high was 86). It's windy AF here though so that really influences temp feel
We can get a similar effect to that SF commute here but that's usually just because the weather changed really fast ๐
@fyeahtourist I'm going to drive for 7hrs this weekend so I'll be going from 55 to <checks notes> 64. Granted that's like going from winter to summer for any Wellingtonian ๐
