A woman in Busan was running an abandoned dog shelter alone. Then boxes started arriving with no name on them.

No sponsors. No donors. A structure so flimsy that heavy rain and typhoons brought it down on top of the dogs.

In February 2022 someone who had read a blog post about the shelter got in touch. The kennels were rebuilt — new flooring, new caging, blankets, roofs that would hold. That summer a typhoon came through and every dog came out of it fine.

The deliveries kept coming after April 2023, when the donor reported for military service. The shelter was not allowed to say who he was until September 2023.
