@LeafsUpdates21 Salary retention is a thing. It would still take a decent of money going out, I can see this working. By offloading some of Kampf, Reaves, Jarnkrok, and whatever depth pieces they want to offload to be cap compliant (something they will be likely doing anyways), it can happen.

If Alex Nylander can produce, it will make Robertson completely expendable in my books. He might turn into a 30 goal scorer one day, but that looks less and less likely to happen on the Leafs each day.

I will be clear, though: Whitecloud doesn't deserve any suspension for that check. Knies has to keep his head up there. It should have been a penalty for charging though, considering the distance traveled and leaving his feet on the hit.

Here's the funny thing: even though the Reaves hit was much worse than the Whitecloud one, Nurse is back to practicing and Knies' status is in the air.

Not saying that they are equal at all: Reaves deserved the 5 games, but I also think that the whitecloud hit wasn't so significantly different that he should get not even a minor penalty. Less severe doesn't mean clean in this situation.
