Hon. Dr. George Chaponda, MP, participated in the SADC Ministers of Foreign Affairs Meeting in South Africa, calling for urgent regional action on rising food & energy costs, unemployment, migration pressures & supply chain disruptions.
Hon. Dr. George Chaponda, held bilateral talks with Ghana’s Foreign Minister, Hon. Samuel Ablakwa, on the sidelines of the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi. The Ministers reaffirmed Malawi–Ghana ties and discussed cooperation in trade, investment, education, diplomacy & security.

Hon. Dr. George T. Chaponda, MP, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, today met South African High Commissioner H.E. Mavivi Myakayaka-Manzini to convey Malawi’s concern over recent xenophobic attacks targeting foreign African nationals in South Africa.
Dr. Justin Saidi, Chief Secretary to the Government officially opened the 4th Southern African Development Community Inter-State Politics & Diplomacy Committee (ISPDC) meeting in Salima.
The meeting, will be held from 28th to 29th April, bringing together 14 SADC Member States.
