@Thomasbaird_16 @DrDaveT Is an autosomal recessive condition that is extremely rare. The prevalence of this disease is estimated to be 1 in every 25, 000 people.which means that any person who has CIPA must inherit the gene from both parents

@airliecourtney1 @DrDaveT A genetic test is the most conclusive diagnostic test for CIPA. This can be done prior to birth, during infancy, or as an adult. An mutation in the human TRKA (NTRKI) gene can be detected by a genetic DNA test, confirming the diagnosis of CIPA.
