Al Unser, Sr. & the No. 2 Johnny Lightning Special got me started in 1970. Many, many races since. That’s me on the flag stand in the pics above… so cool to do.

@CrashGladys My $0.02… Fox and IndyCar are missing the mark by not reaching big city market viewers—NYC, LA, Chicago, etc. Perhaps it comes off too Midwest. That said, I don’t know how to change it. The on-track product is already so good (far superior to NASCAR). What else will it take?
It doesn’t seem like Fox and IndyCar marketing is getting traction in major city markets. Doing well in midsized Midwest markets but somehow need to get to NY, Chicago, LA, etc viewers.
Prairie Farms Dairy (@PFDairy) will sponsor the huge "Wall of Fire" pre-race explosion that @WWTRaceway does at its NASCAR + IndyCar races, as part of a new deal.
➡️ Prairie Farms, which also works with @IMS on Indy 500 milk bottles, will promote its Red, White & Boom ice cream.
.@FoxTV averaged 6.635 million viewers for Sunday's Indy 500, down from 7.050 million last year.
➡️ Top local markets:
1) Indianapolis - 20.9
2) Dayton - 6.2
3) Louisville - 5.7
4) Cincinnati - 5.5
5) Milwaukee - 5.3
6) Fort Myers - 5.3
@TylerWong65 If the Freedom 100 is re-added, Indy NXT needs to run one or two ovals before Carb Day. I agree with Rodger Penske: the Freedom 100 cannot the the first oval race for these (mostly young) drivers
