Day 9: Women's Marathon (Catherine only), Marc train ride to airport (easy in, one Starbucks in entire terminal, Marc spelled right, Air Tahiti home), Catherine to Belgium, twelve events over ten days and a million pastries

Day 8: Mens Marathon (Catherine only), pack, Track (all finals day, Women 1500m (Kipegon OR), Men+Women 4x400m relay (both USA wins), Men high jump (jump off, USA silver), Men Bball Final (USA vs France, public park at capacity, café seating into sidewalk, Curry's Golden Dagger)

Day 7: train to Versailles, long walk in, Modern Pentathlon (pretty venue, got souvenir coke cups, gasps during horse hitting pole, French competitors, fencing in blow up venue, swimming off to side, run and shoot foot race, long food line between groups, repeat)

Day 6: Catherine bday (obv pastries), watch Miles (real macaron search, meals w toy food, playground, France house, Track (Women 400mh (Sydney WR!), Women Long Jump (Tara win), Men 200m (Noah covid), Men Javelin (Pakistan/India rivalry), Men 110mh (Grant win), bar (USA bball)

Day 5: train to Lille, outdoor snack area (hamburger, beer, poke bowl), Handball (France! vs Germany, mimes on way in, insane saves by goalie, A Le La Blue chants, smoking during break, French fail last six seconds, lost in OT), town center walk, last two pasteis de nata

Day 4: Table Tennis w Michael (guy removing ppl in our pics, women fist clenching), Track (merch, Men 1500m (Cole Hocker win!, Goose in third), Women 200m (Gabby win!, wristband lights), Women 3000m steeplechase (French woman epic comeback for 4th), kids fast on Coke cup cleanup

Day 3: pastries, Table Tennis (Keith/Annie, first row, section w ITTF President, confusion on format (doubles/singles), bouncing on feet), arc de triumph/Notre dame in distance, BVball 2x (best venue, US men's and women's, second w Bri (Qatari men), sprint to Eiffel sparkle)

Day 2: BMMV arrive for lunch (bike race detour), waterfront park walk, playground, Indoor Volleyball (Brazil vs Poland, Brazil chants, announcer crowd hype, game 2 goes to 36-34, Catherine sneaks in track watching)

Day 1: Field Hockey (UK vs Argentina, women gathering signatures of different countries on way in), Annie's cold hotdog, Soccer (first row US women vs Japan, teenage volunteers always in wrong spot), rosé/baguette with catwalk in park, first Eiffel Tower sighting

Day 0: 2024 Paris Olympics (joined by Keith/Annie and Bri/Michael/Miles/Vander), SEA -> CDG, train to Robs (wrong direction first), waterfront park walk, watch track, casa Mexico, pizza outside Robs

Day 343: rainy bus/train, AMS -> ORD (have our own rows, sleep till 9am Chicago time, watch Mean Girls + Toy Story), train/bus to Kates house (drop luggage in mud room), Sugar Bowl diner, C runs while M hangs out on bench, walk to pickup pizza/Thai food, hang out/chat w Rob+kids

Day 342: painters start work early (lots of coffee breaks), walk into Delft center (magnet, grocery store, compression sleeves), Catherine/Veerle go for a run, last night dinner at multi-ethnic restaurant (tacos, chicken, bao buns, cocktails)

Day 341: Amsterdam (coffee, red light district, Royal Palace, Begijnhof women convent, Van Stapele cookies, flower market, peppernuts samples, Sarphatipark, Vondelpark loop walk, Rijksmuseum, secret plazas, wooden Café Chris beers, Anne Frank museum (crowds but well preserved))

Day 340: bike/train into The Hague (Peace Palace Museum, Noordeinde Palace, mini pancakes w butter/sugar, pop up antique market, Binnenhof skipping, Haagsche Bos park walk (pet duck toller), C cooks tacos

Day 339: climb windmill (grind a bit by hand, steep steps, slowing down due to strong wind), stop by French couple house (mini-tour, drop-off eggs/flour), Delft “Jazz” Festival (stroopwaffel, rain at brewery w vegan butter Allen, more music at main square)

Day 338: hang at house, take scenic bike route to Veerle’s parents house (23 miles round trip, hot chocolate and pickup V from cucumber work on way, moms apple pie+tea, dad greenhouse tour w 3 million radishes, ride along river on way home, past music festival, gravel roads)

Day 337: Delft walking tour (Chris guiding, windmill, tile map, church tower (steep, tight spiral, good views), no go on stroop waffle), first train takes us to Rotterdam, city walk, Markthal (food stalls under painted roof, cube houses, depot mirror building

Day 336: Bishkek-> Istanbul -> Amsterdam (hang key on wire, last cash on donut/vending machine candy, both boarding pass on single ticket), train to Delft (help cash only guy buy ticket), boat pickup! + canal cruise thru old city w snacks/beer, bike home, wedding deco/cookie

Day 335: sleep in, reading and chill, pizza leftovers, buy slippers, more video editing (finish at night), spelling bee queens, ATM run to pay for apartment, pack everything up, cafe for dinner (smoothie, bagel, salad), early bed for early flight

Day 334: laundry (have to buy machine friendly detergent), C goes for a run and checks if Barbie is playing in English (only Russian), M works on Kyrgyz vid (Pitbull/Otis Redding), buy three Papa Johns pizzas with code left in apartment and feast, read Accidental Superpower
