GET TO KNOW THIS KID: Marc Morales of South Hills. Threw three scoreless innings, allowed two hits, and struck out four. FB was living 84-86 and the CH 74-76. Of the 46 pitches he threw, 34 were for strikes.
This was on top of his performance against La Mirada, where he hit 85 MPH on his FB while throwing 3.1 innings in relief, 4H, 1 Unearned run, and 5 Ks.
He is our "Hidden Gem" so far in 2026. Nobody knew about him, and now he's worked himself into a closer's role for Coach Murphy and has shown that he should be looked at closely at the next level. All he does is throw strikes.
