Imagine a world where we said, what’s going on with the children? So many of them are angry and distressed after school. So many of them are shut in their bedrooms. So many of them are anxious and unhappy. So many of them disillusioned at 15. 1;
i’m gradually coming to the conclusion that information diet is, on a practical level, more immediately impactful than a food diet.
waking to a diet of news/opinion stimulus primes the mind towards whatever reactions are aroused and distracts from deeper goals/values
I am convinced that following politics stuff has a negative impact on my mind and ability for deep/ creative work. Also, when I feel like smithing is not going well in my life I end up following the news more.
It’s not twitter in general, just politics in itself.

after 2-3 meetings ask your manager “is this valuable?”
they say yes, inevitably.
pitch the idea of assigning note-taking role per-meeting so responsibility is distributed amongst the team.
